Initially, I was playing a goblin bloodmage, but I'm the type of player to go into alt-mania, so I wanted to explore the class variations and I found the dread knight and the disciple to be both very fun. In this case, I'm really loving the disciple (an Orc). Anyway, I just wanted to see what others picked as their particular favorite class in Vanguard.

I like my goblin disciple, dark elf necromancer, and wood elf rogue.
Those are my favorites right now.
Just Play Dammit!
Yeah I still love my goblin bloodmage only because there's nothing more amusing then being a short little snot that can out heal an elf.
Ive played a good chunk of the classes, and personally lliked the Bard best for its versatility. Only prob is there is a fair few of them floating around.
In most MMORPGs I try to choose classes which provide me something more than just hack&slash but I've come to really enjoy the warrior class due to its diversity and complexity which I have come to enjoy in Vanguard. But maybe its just because I havent played a warrior class before..
Mordebi disciple and high elf cleric here
Bard (in group)
Shaman (in group)
Cleric (in group)
Paladin (in group)
Disciple (in group)
Ranger (solo bow kiting)
Necromancer (solo fear or agro kiting)
When I first started to play Vanguard, the Cleric was my favorite class of all MMORPGs.
It was not because the Cleric was overpowered, per se, but it was more or less, "FINALLY!!!! The Cleric is not a healer-bot! THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUU!"
Today, the Cleric is a step but only a step above a healer bot.*
*And the Cleric is not even the best healer; it is the worst healer for raids.

WoW and fast food = commercial successes.
I neither play WoW nor eat fast food.
Yeah, clerics are more like their old DnD v3 counterparts. I just wish they had more deities for different spheres. It would be awesome to play a vengeful nature sphere/deity cleric.

So far I really liked
I really want to try out a Bloodmage next or a Psionic, maybe a Monk (watched that Kung-Fu fighting video lol). I dabbled a little with a Psion but never really put any time into it.
All of the classes have something unique about them and that adds a ton of appeal for me even though I am a "sandboxer" at heart. That was the main reason I couldn't get into LotR, the few classes were sooo damn generic and limited.
Wood Elf Ranger is my main and fav.
Also, I enjoy playing my alts, Wood Elf Druid, Varan Bloodmage, & Rasha Sorc.
My favorite is Bard (I know, I know, they are SO nerf ready, but I dig 'em) but right up there with them is Disciple. Disciple because most healers have to choose between Healing the Tank or doing some damage. WIth Disciple, doing damage is what heals the tank.
I also like the Psion, but haven't used him much.
I really like the K...(Cat people can't remember their name) starting area, and the story behind them. Problem is when I play an MMO I can't be a min/max'er I have to play a race/class combination that makes sense to me. I didn't like Ranger too much when I played it, and no other class makes sense to me.

Peace clerics seem to be in high demand. Especially for raiding.
Both peace and preservation are defensive in nature, not the best soloer with little dps. If you are looking to solo, pick either war or death. Death is for casting damage and war is for melee damage. Of the two, war is a better option as you don't need to have a different set of armor for damage and healing. Later on, if you are planning on raiding however, consider switch to peace or preservation.
