MTV's Jeff Yap told a Reuters reporter, “We're pretty optimistic about what this game (Rock Band) is going to do. But our next big announcement, which is coming up fairly quickly, is a move to a whole other realm.”
Other realm hmm? We've seen the obvious evolution from guitar hero to rock band in the music-based gaming realm.. but what could possibly be next? Do you think Harmonix will continue with music and hope to evolve the genre even more? Or could "whole other realm" mean a completely different genre in itself.
Hopefully whatever they do, itll have a big impact on the gaming community. I guess all we can do is sit back and wait for them to tell us what it is

ROCK BAND ONLINE. Rock out with different people, see who's the best!
Although i don't think anything they do will have a big effect on ~me~. Since i don't play guitar hero or any other music game. I'd rather play the guitar.

Although you might have been joking about the rock band online thing, I think that would be a really cool idea... it could have different classes, a working economy, PVP (Guitar Duels, etc.), and alot more...

I chose Other, and i am not specifying!Yeah it might work, but i don't think it'll happen. Unless your thinking maybe different people will make up one band and each "plays" a different instrument, i don't see how an economy would work. All i see in Rock Band Online is different people in bands trying to get the highest "score".

Rock Band II? Rock Band 80's version??
Who knows, the Karaoke area has been explored and vocals used in Rock Band, for Technoish related Konami has their DDR Franchise and a whole bunch of other things in Japan.
There can only be a few options (from my point of view):
1. Gangsta Legend (hip hop/rap/ r and b etc.)
2. Orchestra (classcial, baroque , etc)
3. Make a Double Neck Guitar for Rock Band/ Guitar Hero

Probably a Rockband expansion where you can play any music you like and It automatically converts it to Playable notes ingame.
