A few questions abut the game

I started playing few day ago with a cleric and i pretty much like the game, but i have a few questions. I almost always have to play solo because there are no players around to team up with. Is it me or this game has too few players? Also can i change my resurection tavern or do i have to resurect in the starter tavern in Harbor district all the time?

Awesome vid :)

Do you know how to use the LFM (Looking for more) window?  Press Ctrl+G to open and it will list groups looking for more members. Most people don't use general chat to find groups and a lot don't even read it.

    • The ones that you are eligible for (the group leaders set what classes/levels they are looking for, you can try to join one that isn't looking for your class but they may say no) are highlighted.
    • If there are none for you to join you can create your own party, displaying what levels/classes you are looking for and the quest you want to run.
    • If you don't want to run a group just click the looking for group checkbox and when people search for players to add to their group they will see you.

Your bind point (where you resurrect when you die) can be changed at any point. Just talk to the Brothers(Sisters in some places) in the tavern closest to the quest you are going to run.  There are three in the harbor and two in the market/houses as well as some in areas outside of the city.

Are you playing at strange times?  Normally I see considerably more parties than that on both servers I play on after the merge.

Also, don't be afraid to start one!

I recently became aware of something. Apparently  there are two account clients for DDO, Turbine and Codemasters. The official web site of DDO has Turbine account creation and forums, but i have an account  with Codemasters.  Is it possible that they have separate servers. And that's the reason i don't see many people on my server.

The Turbine client is the is US version of the game and the Codemaster client is the EU version of the game.  If you are on a EU version of the game you may get a nasty surprise when the bill shows up on your credit card statement.

Fear not fanbois, we are not trolls, let's take off your tin foil hat and learn what VAPORWARE is:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaporware

"Vaporware is a term used to describe a software or hardware product that is announced by a developer well in advance of release, but which then fails to emerge after having well exceeded the period of development time that was initially claimed or would normally be expected for the development cycle of a similar product."

I am on the EU version but  please clarify what do you mean about the nasty surprise. They cant take more money off my card if there isn't any. I have a debit card and i will put on my account just enough to pay the subscription.

He lives in Europe, so it would natural for him to play on EU server. Even though the dollar is weak and its cheaper to play on US servers, the 200+ ping isnt worth it.

I play on EU servers aswell, on Devourer. i just started a new character which is soon level 4, A cleric named Ellnros... look me up if you play on the same server, ill add you to my group

    good luck
