It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!
you are impatient - the game is 5+ years old and no one has maxed out any stats or professions. it isn't possible
you are uninformed - real money is at stake. waste it and you are too blame, not the game
you are too young - seriously, if you are 12-13 years old and act like it, this is not the game for you
you are unable to learn - there are no tutorials, lessons or help. you figure it out on your own. the web has a weatlh of data. if you find it you are at an advantage, if you don't you are lazy
you are unable to understand the economy - free to play doesn't mean you are going to get this game for free and walk away rich. i worked in network marketing for a long time and it always blew me away how folks expected it ot work overnight and without effort. entropia is similar in that sense, you will not be uber overnight nor will you ever be.
you are unable to deposit - again free to play only goes so far. people DUMP $$$ down the toilet every single month to blizzard, sony, and others, yet balk at the idea of putting money in entropia. entropia is the ONLY game i know of that i can deposit at my leisure and withdraw later on. i played planetside for years and NOTHING to show for it. i am worth $1000's of dollars in entropia and deposited far less. $10 to $20 a month is appropiate, and you can do it as you choose. this month you dont' want to? fine. you want to put more in? fine.
you are unable to play at your level - so many people start up, depost more than they should, buy overpriced weapons and armor, and hunt well beyond their skill level. just because you can afford to do so doesn't mean you will do well. you need to know what you are doing. no level restriction on items exist. they give you the freedom to mess yourself up.
you need a handholding - forget it
you are unable to entertain yourself - if you need a dwarf to tell you to kill 200k kobolds and bring the tails to him to get the "cheese of smiting" then you need to look elsewhere. if the idea of a free-roaming sci-fi world to explore without limits scares you without someone telling you where to go, look elsewhere
you need to be defined by a class or level - if the leveling system in the elder scrolls gives you fits, look the other way. in entropia you are what you do. hunt alot? you are good with weapons. mine alot? you get better at mining. you progress at what you do, not at some predetmined skill progression.
these are my thoughts.

This guy is more or less spot on about the game, nice to see an honest appraisal. One other thing i would mention though is after a certain point advancing your equipment becomes insanely expensive. Also bigger guns and hunting above your level will increase costs dramatically, so it is a matter of grinding lower end mobs hoping for a good loot to improve your equipment.
I'm not EU's biggest fan - but this post is about spot on.
Ironically, I found this thread by searching Google and came across a post about it here.
I am hoping to find out a little bit more about Entropia Universe:
Thank you for any answers you can share.
1, Its skill based and yes you can learn every skill.
2, There is a buddy list but its very limited, you first have to actually meet in person to add them and there is no mail system so its impossible to send items you have to do a face to face trade.
3, Yes the more you carry the slower you will walk/run but there are storage points all over the main continent or you can store items in your player owned house/apartment. P.S If you fly to Neverdies there is no general storage points so you have to eiether have an apartment/house there or carry it all on you until you get home.
4, Hmm trying to think lol, there slightly different to WoW i think you use Q on the keyboard to walk and pressing holding the mouse wheel down lets you steer, if you press the space bar then the mouse whell controls camera when pressed down not steering. If im wrong could someone please correct me, also thats the way i have it set there are 2 modes of controls but you want the more advanced one for sure. Its not hard though and you will soon pick it up, i actually prefer it to WoWs control system.
Hope this helps thnx Elroy
