I'm trying to recall the most dangerous location in UO's history. What dungeons were insane? What places were extremely difficult to get to without dying? Remember the starroom? I think this was a place in T2A that you could not recall to or out of and so it had to be reached the old fashion way.
What do you guys remember? Any good videos to bring back memories for me? Thanks.

Terathan Keep - Mass of Ophidians guarding the outside, Terathans, nightmares, ophidians, and balrons roaming underground.
Destard - Underground with Shadow Wyrms and Ancient Wyrms
Khaldun - Located in Fel, had the infamous ancient Lich
I'm sure there are many more, but this is all that I could think of at the time.
Covetous right after launch. People used to pk right outside the entrance to the dungeon. I remember a guild called CC (Covetous Crew) on Atlantic that were always killing people. That and low level fireballs used to kill people in 1 hit.
Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL!
Britannia graveyard 30 minutes before daily server shutdown. Nothing done in game would save to the backups so people would go ape crazy. Even Grandma British was seen PKing people for 30 minutes a day.
I recall every place being dangerous though. Perhaps that is why it was so great. Even despair was a haven for PKs.
Yes PKs made the game fun I must say, but I dreaded running into them!
Does anyone recal a star room place/dungeon or am I just imagining this place? I swear it was a place where recall didn't work and so it was really tough to reach.....?
Pre-expansions Hythloth was crazy pve wise.
Outside Trinsic was what we called the "Pk Lounge" place was nuts.
Deceit was also nasty for theives ganking your bp, and then rolling you.
All that was pre trammel though... I really do miss pre trammel, pre expansion UO =*(
Trinsic was definitely crazy... Right outside the gates I used to run this bug where you would put a container on the ground..... have your pet guard it.... invis the pet.... then when someone opened it they would go grey.... then you just wail on em... fun times..
One time they had a lizardman raid outside of trinsic..Thousands of damn lizardmen.. Thousands of brave adventurers fought off the hoards.. Hundreds died.. but in the end we all triumphed. The lizardman king at the end dropped this wickedass golden broadsword... pretty sweet.
Off topic... but another fun thing that we would do was back when you could gate straight inside your house from anywhere.. we would cast a random moongate at brit bank and some random noob would walk through... we'd have someone on teh other side with dispel and a dragon ready.. They would be trapped with tables and we would just grief em in there... fun stuff.. man good times.. sorry if this is hard to read i wrote it really fast
Moonglow magic shops, the one far out from town, and the graveyard halfway there from Moonglow. PKS, Thieves, and before trammel. Made a mage keep a dagger close to fend off the pickpockets and dex monkeys.
I did that once. When i first started to get into pvp. Had the GM's called on us though. It was fun though. Its funny how I was a big trammy till I started hanging out with a bunch of thiefs. Different game I never noticed before.
I think each dungeoun had its danger place.
Deciet had the bone wall or Lich and Silver serpent room.Pks would always wipe the bone wall.
Shame had the Earth elements on floor 1 and Air elements on floor 2.Always lots of pks roaming in here.
Despise had all level, because was a new player dung.
Covetous had first level (harpys) and 3rd level (liches)
Destard had Dragons.Lots of pks roamed.
Terethon Keep was insane, better chance for decent loot.
My Favourite Dung had to be Wrong or Ice. The white wyrms in Ice and the Orge Lords in Wrong. Easy and fast money. Pks roamed, but were never a problem as they were easy to defend against.
YES! I remember this place. If I recall correctly you had to go through the keep near Papua. It was surrounded by those spider people, the arch enemies to the ophidians (never could get their names in my noggin). I actually have a picture of myself bragging to my friends that I was in the star room. There was absolutely NOTHING TO DO there, but damn I felt important!

Good, I'm glad I'm not crazy. I thought I remembered the place. I was never there myself, but I saw pictures of others. Most people probably don't know because, like you said, there was no point in being there. It was just the fact that you couldn't use recall to get there.
Yeah, the Star Room is located under the Terathan Keep. When you go under the keep, there's a brazier on a walkway in a large open space. Go up to the brazier and click it continuously for about 2 minutes. After a bit, it'll port you to the Star Room. I may be mistaken by I think they changed it where you can recall into and out of this room now.
Hmmm..this is an interesting topic. Anybody know of any other easter egg/hidden secrets within the vast world of ultima online?

I'm not sure if this is really the room you speak of, cause I have not been to it myself, but I am told this is it by others. Please let me know if this is the star room or not. Thanks.
The Crossroads between Britain, Skara Brae, and Yew. Prior to the Fel/Tram split, it was a big PK hang out. In the early days of UO, following the roads was a very bad idea.
The absolute most dangerous place in UO history at least on Lake Superior was the deciet bone wall.... definately old school UO and full of PK's... paralyze field......poison field......fire field.... good times!
