Been playing MMOs since I got hooked on EQ way back when. Recently a friend who I used to play White Wolf games with told me about a text-based game that is RP Required. I was a bit wary about playing a Text based game, but after a few hours of play I started to really get into it and realized that its by far the best game system I have ever seen. The game is based off of ancient rome/greece, and the weapons/skills are appropriate. The most complex yet easy to understand skill and advancement system. No levels. If you want a game that allows you to REALLY become a unique character, give The Eternal City a try. Don't shut this down just because you've never thought of playing a text based game. Give it a try.
