What's wrong with the community?

I just started today and created a Cora Specialist. I did the tutorial and then was teleported to the starting area. I asked repeatedly (not spammed) for help on how a Specialist is supposed to start the game, but everyone ignored me. I asked in both regular /say and /map. Again, I didn't spam or anything. I asked every couple of minutes.

Why do people ignore new peoples pleas for help? People act like they were never new and didn't have questions themselves. Maybe they were treated with the same coldness that I was treated with.

So I am here on the forums, asking for the last time. How does a Specialist start in this game. I understand Specialists are crafters with a twist. I'm going to go do some research on the main website  while I wait for a reply. Hopefully the RF community on mmorpg.com is more responsive.

Thank you

I found it much to be the same when I started last night, I still don't know 100%...okay 50% of what I am actually "supposed" to do.  I don't know which server you started on, but I started on the new one, so it is very possible that 90% of the people you were on with were new like you and could not honestly answer.

I created a Bellonia (SP?) Specialist and I am trying to see where to go now.

Sorry I can't help you, but if you are ever in the Guild Wars forum I can hook you up with whatever knowledge you need

Nevermind. I will must create another class. I went to the main website forums for help and there is only one thread in the Cora>Spec forum and it was only a thread asking a question. Apparently, Cora>Specs are pretty useless and while what they can make is useful, people are pretty used to farming for their own stuff. I also read that their abilities are useless in PvP. Apparently turrets are useless and the res ability is on a 1 min timer and you are dead before you can res the person.

So i guess I will just reroll. Are the other races specialist classes useless as well?

Which server did you roll on? you'd probably get more help on Novus it's the server with all the old players on it (inc. me).

Yes the cora spec is possibly the most pointless class in the game, the other 2 races specialists have more use the accretian spec gets guns which can debuff enemies and also heal them. the bellato specialist can later become a driver which means they can use Mechs.

if you need anymore help xfire is the best thing you can add me and I will answer any questions to the best of my ability, if your playing on Novus my name ingame is DeadEdge you can message me there as well.

I downloaded it Thursday to fool around with and the community has not been very helpful.

In chat I read about how important "PTs" were but when I asked what a PT was all I got was "go read the website noob". Sure, I could go digging through the website for an hour and find the info I need or you could be helpful and tell me in 10 seconds.

This being a PvP centric game doesnt help matters when all the new people entering the game now that its free are low level and all the people that played it when it was P2P are max level. Got a rude awakening to that when I went to Sette Desert to do a quest and got 1 shotted by someone.
