EVE Online's latest update, Revelations 2.2 is now live! They've also posted a fix for players experiencing a client warning.
Revelations 2.2 was deployed and Tranquility is open for business. For patch feedback please visit this forum thread.
For those people having a problem with the client warning of modified, damaged or corrupt extra files in the /bin/ directory, please remove any extra files you find in this directory. This should resolve your issues. The list of the valid files for the /bin/ directory is linked below. If this did not resolve the issue, please file a bugreport including a crash dump, logserver file and dxdiag.
- Download the bin.zip file.
- Delete the bin folder (by default it is located at C:Program FilesCCPEVEin)
- Unzip the EVE_bin.zip to the client folder (by default it is C:Program FilesCCPEVE).
As a last resort you can reinstall the entire client. Make sure you never patch your Tranquility client with a test patch, even if it has the same build number as the Tranquility patch, as this may corrupt your client and result in a complete reinstall being necessary.
Bin folder contents can be found in this forum post. Should you have any further issues with the patch you are welcome to post in the feedback thread linked above, Devs are monitoring the thread and will do their best to assist you.
Read all about it here.

Adding content without charging for an "expansion pack". Good job CCP.
The pretty flawless rollout was the most impressive , Tranquility is having a positive month hopefully more good to come .
I would agree.. they've accomplished alot since upgrading their version of Python and then this update. A few hickups but they work on them quickly.
I haven't played Eve for a bit, but I know they were planning on rolling out new high-res textures and improved graphics. Is that live with this patch or is that yet to come?
the graphics arent in yet.. all thats going on now is in preperation for that. They added a capitol industrial ship and have tweaked alot of things. Mostly though just tuning the updated engine.
End of this year AT THE LATEST or so they say. And its a patch 2 gig in size.

They haven't fixed the desync issue
they haven't fixed the massive fleet combat lag issue
CCP fails.
Make a difference!
Well dont know about you but i recently had a fleet battle 200 v 150 [i think] with almost no lag which was aminly 2 seconds when i warped in.
Of course you wouldnt know that considering you stopped playing eve months ago.

Pretty much the only good thing that can be said about Eve.

Pretty much the only good thing that can be said about Eve.
Eve might not be for everybody, but for people interested in a 100% "sandbox" mmo, i dont see any other option at the moment.Im not playing at the moment but im sure ill return to this very cool game again at some point
Pretty much the only good thing that can be said about Eve.
You need to be half-way intelligent to understand EVE. You'll be smart enough one day, I promise.
Serious death penalties makes every close call an adrenaline rush, and every minor achievement a major victory. This alternative rule-set should be in all MMORPGs.
There is alot to be said about CCP, they will never pull a NGE ala $OE.. They play their game, unlike the folk at AutoAssault ( although EVERYONE in AA is now elsewhere ) They didn't get one single nomination on the MMOWTF awards, and so on.
No class, race, level restrictions.
And EVE is the only game where instead of saying you are teh Uber l33t pwnzor of all, you actually have to prove it.
