Flyff Vs. Tales of Pirates

Hello, if you are reading this then you are more then likely interested in what I have to say.  I've played both Flyff and Tales of Pirates and to be honest stuck with you I am staying with Tales of Pirates.  I will give you the rundown about both games.  Reminder all things that are posted up here, all things stated, and all that you read are from my personal view and not of others.

Bio about the games:

Flyff - The games starts you off with an all around character from the levels of 1-15. At level 15 you are able to select a job that you would like to be.  There are 3 jobs that you can choose from, one being a fighting style character, casting type character, and healer type character.  After you obtain the job you are able to experience up to level 6 and obtain the last job you want to be. Depending on your first choice your last job will very.  Getting to level 60 is a tedious task that takes about 80 hours of gameplay time to get to level 40 alone.  After level 40 it can take anywhere from 4-6 hours of strait grinding to obtain 1 level all the way up to 50.  At around level 55 it can take 8-10 hours to get one level and becomes a boring task with the repetitiveness that follow.  The quest system is choppy and lack any help in any way possible.  Basically you are forced read forums and shout within game for help, sometimes it will force you to abandon the quest because it's just to hard to figure out with the dialog they give you for the quest and the information.  Doing story quest are bland and with the lack of updates in the game forces you to stop doing the story quest because the story in not complete.  Skills in the game are basic and have no originality.  PVP within the game is only good if you plan on fighting the same job as you so if you plan on going PVP with some other job be prepared to die or fish out the damage because classes are in no way equal to other classes.  As far as grouping with people, there are bonus experience only in full group and grouping itself is not really group because players don't really group unless they want to be power leveled gimping the high level players.  The game could try to concentrate on the grouping system much better because I honestly didn't enjoy playing with one other  person leaching off my experience.  Out of the 10 MMO games that I have played this game gets a 5/10 on gameplay and a 7/10 on graphics.

Tales of Pirates - This game is much like Flyff, where you grind your butt off and group with people that just like to leech.  The quest system within the game is better then that of Flyff and gives you detailed information about what needs to be done.  The story is entertaining and because of that makes you want to continue doing it.  Also doing the quest offer you great rewards and offers you to open up special harvesting skills that you can use to better your character in many ways.  Much like Flyff's flying system there is a boat system in the game where you can travel the sea.  Rather then just flying around trying to get to place like in Flyff you can Fight pirates, go to secluded areas, and much more.  The boat needs fuel and needs wood to fix because unlike flyff where you can fight and not have to worry about a thing, Tales of Pirates places you in a real life situation where you have to fix and fill up your boat to keep it running.  The economy matches that of what you make while playing the game and is not as expensive as Flyff.  Less farming and more gameplay.  As far as jobs go, you get your first job at 10 and your last job at 40.  The quests are simple and fun and won't have you saying, "God I hate this quest".  The graphics in this game gets a 6/10 and the gameplay gets a 8/10 and beats that off flyff.

The one thing most people worry about is getting help.  If you read my forums I've posted up on this forum Flyff >> General Discussion you will see that I dispise the Flyff GMs.  There is no such thing as support within Flyff and I hated Flyff because I was basically screwed over by them and so was 3 other people within my life.  While playing Tales of Pirates I actually got in contact with the GM about 3 times in just 1 week.  Tales of Pirates actually payes attention to their players and respects everyone.

In my view, stay away from Flyff and try Tales of Pirates first because I don't want you to waist your time.
