Well, imo the center screenie looks horrible. The ship looks a bit cartoonish, but the other two look fantastic. Just my two cents.

This post is absolutely not a knock on mmorpg.com, I'm just sort of... bemused... that CCP is releasing "exclusive screens" of a game that's so old.

My reaction to this is pretty much the same as it would be if SOE released "exclusive screens" of Everquest 1.

i been playing eve sense 2003 , by playing i mean sitting on my pc logging in training then logging off , its a fun game , its just got no exciment , the pvp is slow depening on how good there tanking is , but its just not that good of a game unless your in alot of gangs or fleet wars and even then most of the time i hardly have time to shoot a volly of shots of anything

Look a little closer. Those are screenshots of the new graphics engine, not the old one you are referring to.



Hehe, Red Alliance got their Alliance Logo on the ships...I wonder what earned them that privilege .

ok can we honestly end the useless publicity for this game? Honestly do three screenshots designate a news worthy post? If so then there would be a lot more news on this website. EVE is a good game in the political economical sense but i think that there is a severe bias on this website towards EVE and other major  games out there. It seems like this website focuses more on 5-10 games then the couple hundred or how many of it is on their list. 

These pictures aren't even that good. The middle one is pixelated terribly  and the other two look similar to every other ship in that game. I don't mind fanbois raving about aspects of the game they like but PLEASE stop making news updates on this game that are NOT news this these lame screens.

If every other game was completely rewriting their graphics engine then I would expect them to post news items if they are given access to exclusive screenshots of the unreleased game engine.  As for MMORPG focusing on only a few could it be that only a few provide them with anything to place on the website.

imo, the middle one looks awesome compaired to the old one :P.

 

Also to all you complainers, next time please try to think about why these screens were posted rather then just instantly flame. Its the new graphics engine and a lot of people are looking forward to its release.

I would say the choose the red alliance logo for 2 reasons.
1. It's a very good looking logo.
2. It's the single alliance that they will never be accused of having multiple devs in, showing preferential treatment for. Imagine the outcry if the ship had the BoB logo on it (also the bob logo doesn't use transparency so it wouldn't look as good.
