In 12 days since launch Codemasters were nice enough to serve us with 6 days of login problems.
Every time they claim it is fixed , it just gets worse. It always happens in peak hours.
So people resolve to logging in and staying logged as long as possible , to avoid not being able to log in back.
So far no word of appology, no fix, and no promise of compensation.
And as i understand DDO still has this login problems ...
I really love LOTRO , and enjoy it greatly , even more every day. But i am seriously thinking of canceling my subscription at this point...
Thanks Codemasters

"The LOTRO game servers will be brought down on Wednesday, May 9 from 6:00AM - 1:00PM for a patch to the game. Additionally, during this time we will be performing server-side diagnostics and maintenance.
The patch will fix the following issue:
- The "Fresh Steeds for Bree" quest will now complete normally.
Thanks for your patience! "
Never heard it spoken about in public channels either.

If I were you I'd just cancel as it's obvious that you get worked up far too easily. Go and do something like painting which is far less "stressful" for you than gaming.
Don't threaten to quit - Codemasters won't give a toss, they've got TOO MANY customers at the moment

Codemasters stated it was affecting one third of users, which is massive.

If you never heard about it, it means you either:
1, never read the public forum (it is FULL of it)
2, never log OUT the game (the bug only affects the login servers, not the game servers
3, never read the client messages (the constant updates and apologies from CM)
4, play on US servers
5, lie (why would you?)
Seriously, there is a MASSIVE uproar about this, everywhere. Just take a look at lotro eu forums!!!

1. I dont read the public forums, is that a crime?2. I login several times a day, I play on the Eldar server.
3. Client message? Ive read the messages in the login screen and I read ingame messages.
4. I play on EU servers.
5. Im not lieing.
My point is that, Ive been playing for over a week and this is the first complaint I have heard about this problem, so obviously it isnt as widespread as posters in this thread suggest.
Keep in mind, forums reflect a small number of players, if 30 reply to a thread thats 3 pages, 30 people in a game with 100,000's of subscribers is a small number.

Only the Euro servers run by CM are having these problems. The US are not.
5 Times since launch the servers have had extended down times, or the login servers were bugged where I could not login. The login did not affect everyone, about half the people for some reason.
hopefully they'll fix the rest of the servers soon.....

We're all Geniuses. Most of us just don't know it.
WRONG.
Every time I, and many thousands of other players (admitted by CM) had this issue (5 times so far), we could not login to any servers, because the issues is connected to the login server, not the game servers!!!
IF you didn't log out your game server during these downtimes, you possibly did not recognise this issue at all - this is the only possible explanation.
Once again:
LOGIN server - bad
GAME servers - all good!
