Well, i think title got your attention allright...
I want to say that as for this moment (this might change in future) LOTRO has the best, friendliest, funniest and maturest community
in any MMO up to date (yes in case you wander , it even beats Ryzom).
And i would not even beggin writting about quality of roleplay encountered so far.
So what is the catch ?
Simply many people , especially ones drawn to PVP and powergaming do not like LOTRO at all !
And this created community of people that play only to have fun and socialise. Not people that play to be better than others and prove them selves the better over the other.
So what is my rant ?
Simple as this :
If you dont like LOTRO. Please , please stay away from it !

Games i bashed (and played) DDO and Vanguard. And how can you say i was not right to do so.
Other games i played and praised ... and still praise nothing changed
EQ2 played -> I still love it and recommend it
COX -> Amazing game that i love and still regullarly recomend.
WOW -> Great game , everyone must try
AO -> Love it
So why are you saying such things about me ?

Can you explain me how is WoW different from Lotro then?
You talked about palying to be better than others?
In WoW, in order to be better than others means spending 300+ more hours in raidinstances more than others. I wouldn't call that proving to be better than others...
I also find your ending sentence very amusing "If you dont like LOTRO. Please , please stay away from it !"
Only way to find out if I like it or not, is to try it out and if i don't like it , I will stay away. No need to give such advices.
What server do you play on?
How about you take your own advice? Oh yeah you won't, because you and your little LOTRO thugs are a bunch of hypocrites. I'm happy you all found a place where you can congregate and I'm starting to be glad of LOTRO's existence simply because it keeps the weaselly little trolls occupied and off these boards for the most part.
So what I'm trying to say is, good for you.
and I'm glad you guys can be civil and mature when you have no one disagreeing with you.
Edit: After reading it over I was harsher in this post then I meant to be, but the condescending and hypocritical nature of this post really got to me.
But you are in for a big surprise if you think PvP isn't gonna be huge in this game. It's gonna be the point of no return when we get a big population of level 30 Freeps that can enter the Ettenmoors- the PvP region to take on the monsters. The only thing slowing the ball from rolling right now is because of the level requirement on the Freeps-( the free peoples)- that stops them from entering the PvP region until they are a certain level- isn't it level 30?. From summer onward- that PvP region is gonna be swamped. I know PvP'ers that played there at the end of the Beta that friggin LOVED playing there. Especially that night the Devs came into the Ettenmoors as monsters and took on the Freeps for hours LOL!
But Turbine made that region a world unto itself. We don't see their chat- we don't see them period. They have their own area of the world to run around in. And Turbine might SAY that they don't wanna focus their games on the PvP aspect but actions speak louder than words- they ALWAYS have put a TON of effort into the PvP parts of their games no matter how they try to say they are a PvE more kinda Devs.
And it's not the PvP'ers that we want to stay away from LOTR- it's the griefers/ haters. They aren't synonamous .

Well, lets see here, MAYBE if you don't post these posts commanding people to go away from a forum then they will not attack you. Simple logic should tell you that if you post flame bait like this that you are going to get flamed...
Also, maybe a quick spell check every once in a while would help you.
If you like LOTRO, good for you. Play it, enjoy it, and discuss it. But you're really asking for it when put this on the general forum. Fact is, everyone will NOT have the same understanding and values as the next guy. Some people hate LOTRO, some people love it.

No, they do it because its quite ironic. You have also been heavily criticising Vanguard: Saga of Heroes. the same rule "If you don't like it, leave it" could be applied there, but that didn't stop you from making bash Vanguard posts. and now you are here telling us to just stay away from Lotro and get over it.

And just the other day he said he'd become a Vanboi....I think our friend here is just really wishy washy in general.
However the OP's post is also totally unnecessary. I've stayed away from it since I got bored quickly in beta. I think its kind of a foregone conclusion that people who don't like it will stay away from it!
