post the stupidest things you've ever done while cooking...

hard time deciding... once i went to boil water forgot about it and it started making a burnt smell

when i looked in the pot the water was gone

    lol.....i do remember one time i was really little my mom just got finished cooking and i touched the pan she used... not realizing it was gonna be hot

    Two weeks ago, came home from a night out and decided to shove some frozen chicken bites in the oven. I fell asleep on the kitchen floor, woke up 4 hours later because the fire alarm went off. Chicken morphed into chunks of charcoal.

    what a wste of perfectly good chicken you know an animal died for you to eat that not burn it  o well we all mess up sometime

    Judging by how much it cost me in ASDA (UK's answer to Wal Mart), it probably wasn't even an animal.

    I was boiling crabs once and 5 of them came out, and came all the way in my room to take me down. THIS IS NOT A JOKE. They were tasty though.

    my wife did the same thing with the water, no i tell everyone she "burns water".  It was an expensive pot too dang it!!!!.

    Riki, I did the same thing the first time i cooked them.  Its a hell of a shock to see them comming to kick your ass ain't it?!

    My personal best is not cleaning the grill and cooking something heavly marinated in wiskey.  OOOps! we had take out in stead.

    I shoot for the curve... anything above that is gravy.

    I was cooking pumpkin soup naked

    I was using one of those whizzy things to make the mashy pumpkin into soup and I put it on the wrong angle and hot soup kinda splashed all over me. I didnt have to go to hospital or anything..... but I lost some skin.... and some of it was skin Id rather not have lost

    Note to self : wear appropriate clothing when mixing hot soup !

    A few years ago, my mum told me to turn the oven on, i didnt know which was the oven, so i turned on the thing that had the chips on, around 5 minutes later i say some red in the reflection and thought humm, went in and it was on fire haha never got over that
