Over at somethin---other >.> we have enjoyed these retards going on 4 years.

Emos are awsome, the ultimate target of what makes kids look so damned retarded.

I hope this fad keeps going, now in the last few years they've gotten REALLY skin tight pants "Ones you would of been made fun of for wearing back in the day", it's awsome.

I swear the trend leader on this shit started it as a joke and slowly but surely we got these kids who dress so goofy and act so retarded.. You just have to laugh.

I figure a year from now it'll be belly shirts/skin tight pants/old cons (fuckers...I liked cons too..) and half their hair shaved off leaving the front (like the ole cheese ball punk/thug look), and naturally nasal/naval piercings , followed up with deep tone color hair dye.

    Forest green and such.

    EMO'S ARE AWSOME

Edit: Also if you happen to be emo and read this, KEEP IT UP! Don't stop! I need to see what happens to you goons later on.

Trust me I was a "raver" back in the day, I look at myself back then..and I want to hit him(me).

    You'll understand later.

You mean the gangsta fad that started in the early 1990's?  That's not going to go away.

Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.

    Try 80's mate!

The 90's just added hip hop to the mix, before it was ez e and such.

Hell I  can say the "Fat boys" kick started the gansta look (corney ass dudes now)

Your right, but now its just getting silly.. extra long/big jeans that will fall off when you walk 2 steps, extra long shirtts that look like a dress, clown shoes that your not allowed to tie, ball caps of some team you dont even know what league they play in that over the top of your ear, now stupid "grills" which add more to the clown look.

Anyways emo needs to die, I had a conversation with some emo/scene kid at my school a couple days ago. I asked him why does he do this to himself.. he told me he wanted to look differnt/express his emotions. Little does he know hes a clone. What makes me mad is this infection has spred to the hardcore music scene, when I go to a show and see these kids there I cant help myself but I get eurges to smash them in the face if I see them trying to get out of a mosh pit.

I remember more kids sagging their pants when I was in elementary school than in high school...maybe it was just because our vice principal obsessively told students "pull your pants up bub"

In my city "Stockton, CA" we used to kick the crap out of fake thugs.

I lived in a pretty rough stretch.

Saggers usually followed with a face to the curb, and now it seems to have shifted.

After all sagging came out of prisons a tough guy thing for "you can but fug me bitch".

"Emo" is the bastard child of awful 80's pop hair (flock of seagulls, anyone?) and 90's grunge mentality.

I wish I could take a bat to every kid who wears black eyeliner and laments his fate because his parents didn't buy him a Razer™. Oh and I think you'll find that the majority of these little.... persons HATE George Bush. Upon further inquiry, however, you will most likely find nothing to back up this hatred except a vague notion that he hates black people and "No Blood for Oil!".

Oh! Suburban life must be SO depressing! I'm sorry but when did it become attractive to look like a woman? What happened to the big brutish he-men of the Beginning of Time - 70's period? What are we, Japan? I hate these people with such a fiery passion, it unnerves me.

Why? Because I have to deal with them on a daily basis because I live in the music/art dorm of U of North Texas, where you can't fart without it landing on an emo/goth kid. Hell, I MISS the goth style. At least they weren't stealing their sister's pants.

The reporter just said Emo's or emotional people are dressing in black ........ OMG OMG OMG , EVERY HUMAN BEING IS EMOTIONAL !!

Emo is a subgenre of hardcore music. Since it's inception, emo has come to describe several independent variations, linked loosely but with common ancestry. As such, use of the term has been the subject of much debate.

In its original incarnation, the term emo was used to describe the music of the mid-1980s Washington,DC scene and its associated bands. In later years, the term emocore, short for Emotional Hardcore.

Emo is a somewhat ambiguous, controversial slang term most frequently used to describe a fashion or subculture which is usually defined to have roots in punk fashion and sub culture, as well as some attributes ofgothic fashion and subculture. It is loosely defined, and its meaning varies by region, but most definitions share a number of similarities.

Well I could try to tell you what I don't like about most emo kids, but I think I'm going to use the words of another smart woman instead.

Which sums it up pretty good.

Wow, I watched it... the people who did that "report" are fucking retarded, I'm sorry. Emo isn't really a fad... I mean, some of these kids have actually gone through a shit load of stuff in life, and it gets to a point where you just can't take it anymore and pretty much give up. It sucks really bad.

I hate people who take these kids as seriously as the new reporter does.

...now excuse me while I listen to Bauhaus.

Well in that case maybe everyone should be emo.

Everyone goes through some messed up stuff, thats what life is about.

If you haven't been completely fucked over atleast 59 times in your life, you have not lived.

Those who display it and such are seeking attention for help in the wrong places, and instead they will find the ridicule far worse than the average goth would of gained back in the day.

You know.. All the goths I knew back in school worked out that phase as well. It's simply trying to find a niche in something that seems different than the standard american norm of "Bottle that up" attitude.

But then again most of us who absolutely giggle at emo are probally A-holes for judging them.

I just can't stand wah wah's, roll with the punches, take the punches, or roll up in a fetal position and cry .

Either way you are getting punched.

I've gone through just as much shit as any emo kid out there, but you don't see me acting like an attention whore to gain sympathy. If you have personal problems, there is no need to make these problems a public issue. Noone gives a damn if you're frustrated with life.  Everyone goes through shit, and I'm willing to bet the majority of emo kids haven't gone through anything extraordinary.

But they are the center of the fucking universe.

    Atleast in their heads.

Look I'll be blunt to emo's and those who feel for them right now.

No one cares what daddy didn't buy you when you were 12, no one cares if you live or die but your family.

Thats life, it sucks, it's cold,  it's a hateful pissy world out there, and when you grow up you will find people care even less.

Gangster fad don't bother me. I know real ones from fake ones, but just becuase someone is hard and badass dosen't mean a "gangster". There is no gangster fad, there is a fashion though. If you can't tell fake from real then yeah I bet it would bother you. Emo's don't bother me, yet it's disturbing with them.

Emo = neohippie, only worse, which means they'll sell out even more than the yuppies. Oh and there's nothing wrong with a bit of color in the hair or a few piercings, if they go overboard with the piercings they make great fishing lures or boat anchors but a few is fine, I know a lot of people with piercings and a few green hair old punkers. I don't mind a bit of goofy dressing, we all have probably had our phases (hell my 6' arse wore massive platform boots when KISS was big back in the 70's ) It's all the whining and cutting that's really pathetic enough to take some steel jacketed jackhammer boots to. The worst is probably still to come, the horrifying reality of crossover music, or as I call it "When Genres Collide"

Emo + Gangsta = Emsta or Gangmo

Emo + Death Metal = Deathmo (also called Devil Whine)

Emo + Goth =  Gothmo (Even the Vampires will stand in the sun if they hear this)

Emo + Country = God that's just a disgusting thought

Emo + Folk Music = SHOOT IT SHOOT IT SHOOT IT OMFG JUST SHOOT IT BEFORE IT SPREADS
