I can't understand whats so good about myspace. Almost every kid in my school has one but i don't know what makes it fun.

I swore when I was in high school that I would never have one...but then I got to college and my cousin begged me to get one so that we could stay in touch...so I did.  I now use it as a way to keep in touch with people that I care about, and to stalk people of course.

I think it's down to two factors. Firstly, people can customize their page until it looks nothing like the default MySpace page. It gives people the option to be totally different, perhaps why there are so many emo on it. Secondly, there are so many people on it. You can find long lost school friends or even celebrities, which is technically unique on the internet. Personally I'm sick of it, Facebook is far better.

I don't have a myspace, couldn't get into internet profiling much. I was going to try it, but I don't know yet. I guess it's more based of friends/community/relationships/etc. I just think that a lot of kiddos give extremely WAY TOO MUCH infomation on their pages. Some people find it fun to talk with people local and around the world, but there are stalkers out there and bad people, and many members their fail to realize that. We are in the same boat though. If someone could get me 8 "good" reasons to try it I would, but for the things I could get/see there I can get that just by being in public. Ya know, our generation and next generation, online profiling will be the next biggest thing on the internet. Maybe it is already now.



So Myspace right now is "in". Don't be so upset if you don't have one. If you have good social skills (not saying that people there don't), you won't need one. EDIT Poster above explained somthing too. Long lost friends and celebs.

To be brutally honest, I find myspace to be AWSOME troll bait.

Over at a certain site I pretty much have dedicated my ass hattery to, we have articles featuring the worst of the worst.

One of them myspace has become the ultimate fishing ground.

I swear it used to be "the (worst) and aweful web pages on the net" now we got myspace, and...well THANK YOU for making these pages.

The one problem I have is myspace is like the disease of the internet... much like how wow is to mmo's. Sure people think it's awsome.

But even crap can be called "awsome" if enough people call it so.

Facebook  is Myspace with a friendlier interface and no spam.The only spam you get from myspace is the retarded banner adds for dating websites, and the customization that you can do with myspace makes up for any of the annoyance.

Myspace is ONLY a Messenger that is put on a web page. SO think about writing an email or any other message when they are logged on and it will go back and forth. So if your a SOCIALLITE or NEED to talk to people on the internet and don't want to IM or chat room then this is another way

If someone sends you a link with the message "Hey, check out my new myspace!" You can safely ignore it without missing out on anything.

Myspace is similar to Wow.  It is the "cool" place to be.  Are there other good places to talk to people or play good games?  Sure.  But, when something is popular people think it is the best.

MySpace is done pretty well. Like someone said, it's kinda like a messenger on the web. I love MySpace and I hope it lasts for a very long time. After all, it gets me laid......... quite often. MySpace Pimps FTW! lmmfao.

Myspace is so great because its so popular. Despite what many of you want to believe this actually makes the website better than every other networking site out there. The more people you have on your website the more people you can meet, and the more socializing or stalking you can do. There are at least a dozen other websites that offer the same things, if not more, that myspace offers but there is a reason why they are still stuck down at the bottom.



Nobody wants to socialize with a few hundred thousand people when they could just as easily socialize with a few hundred million.

All three of my kids have their own site, I got one and have met quite a few people too.  Even some old Navy buddies I thought fell off the face of the earth.

My daughter is always leaving comments on my page.  She lives on that thing.  She is 13.  She is always posting pics of her sports and stuff.  Great way to keep up with her.

But those sites are full of ugly ass girls who are pretty desperate. Where as MySpace is full of normal everyday people who aren't there looking for the same thing I am, they are just there and I get to talking.

Plus, sites like Adultfriendfinder, if a girl is hot just think about how many guys are trying to talk to them and how many they have actually slept with. Where as MySpace, you got more guys trying to talk to a hot girl, but the difference is they aren't looking for someone to come out and say "hey, lets meet up and screw" lol......... which most of them do.
