well because if you look at all the games that are listed how many do you see that are F2P, i see only a few and with all the popular games that are out thre it can't have them all. There are many more then rappelz that are popular and not listed here, if you want a rappelz forum i guess your gonna have to do the official forum.
Actually, that is a bit strange. There are actually NO forums at all for Rappelz, not even on the big list. It's one of the bigger F2P Asian MMORPG's, too.
jus remembered sumthin.... back when i still play rappelz...... i stumble on this rappelz fan site forgot whats it call..... the admin there is like a 12 year old brained that thinks he has god power! no fo0d! no flo0d! no drinks! no spill! no picking nose! no caps! no typo! no mispell! no etc...

Rappelz is actually not that bad of a game... I've played it for 15 levels or so and it's alright so far... Sure the point and click is annoying as hell sometimes, but whatever you get use to it after a while! I mean why not give it a go? The system requirements aren't that high... if you think they are high you need to seriously update your rig. The graphics do tend to be somewhat grainy in effect, but are at least consistent.
Rappelz quickly made it to the upper ranks in Korea after its release, not saying that Korea has the best taste in MMOs, but they are getting a little better as time passes.
The only "decent" forum for Rappelz is the official forum offered by Gpotato, just thought it might be interesting to have one up for MMORPG players comments and such.
Rappelz itself doesn't use much in the way of resources, but the client has a few major memory leaks. Navigating through the major cities is more than a little hassle for most people with less than 1GB of ram.
Crap forums do none of us any good... the official ones at Gpotato are reliable and have heaps of information if you know what you are looking for and can find a GM comment on them. Often the GMs will give away or inform players of restricted information through the forums. For example; enhancement (enchanting) failure rates after +4 will not be disclosed to players. ECT.
I haven't noticed the memory leak yet... not that I would like to or have any of you run into it!
If you can walk through Horizen without any issues, than they've either done some major patching (I doubt it) or your computer is alot better than most people playing (quite likely).
Those site descriptions, while semi-accurate, are all exagerations. Assuming you refrain from using leet speak, I believe you'll find AlizarinHQ quite helpful.

makes me wonder what comp spec you have? bother to share? im guessing you have 1.5gig of system ram or up since i believe system ram determinds stable-ness and reduce the sudden chunk of laggness and graphic card is capacity of the eye candy and determinds frame rates.

oh and just for refference.... when i play rappelz i got athlon64 3200+ 512mb of ram x700pro then later upgrade to 768mb of ram and x850xt still bearly play smo0thly and frame rate seems to not gain.... then now at 1gig ram and to0 lazy to bother to go back to rappelz to test performance. rappelz is one of the games that even with high end graphic card u have the frame rate still wont go up. kindd alike last chaos due to how the game is.
Computers with P4 at 2GHz, 512 - 1GB of RAM, and a decent VGA card is standard now and are very common. Next time you go to an office glance over at the badge on their desktop... it's most likely a P4 or equivalent.

RE: I aim nothing at anyone, unless they really want me to However, I completely disagree.
My Current Rig Spec: AMD AthlonXP 3000 (2500 Barton overclocked), 1GB RAM (Previously 768MB), NVIDIA GFORCE 9600GT.
I have played Rappelz previously with the 768MB of RAM and it just worked fine. The only reason I now have 1GB of RAM is that I had a module lying around after a build and decided to just stick it in the third slot. System stability is much more complex that simply how much RAM you have unfortunately. I've been building rings for seven years and there are MANY things that can cause system instability outside of the amount and condition of RAM modules including; Hardware, Software and Temperature.
I also maximize my system performance when gaming by shutting down and exiting IM programs and other system tray items that take up space as neutral memory and CPU usage during game play. Another good idea is to clean the computer in order to maximize the performance and saves you time in general.
Tips for increasing system stability and performance:
Uninstall useless software programs that are using memory and taking up HD space (Ex. Weatherbug, ECT.)
Disable programs that are not needed from loading at startup. (WinAmp Agent, Video Tray, Quicktime, ECT.)
Run Disk Cleanup
Run Anti-Spyware/virus Software and Remove Threats
Run a registry cleaner and repair your registry
Defragment your hard drive
Regardless: The game is awesome even if it does have a possible memory leak and a few lag issues. Those of us in the States and all of Korea/Asia apparently have "new" enough computers to deal with it and are enjoying the game.
Nice graphics even if they are a bit grainy, fun, and free of charge... A decent temporary distraction for a college guy. Outside of females and work of course. Share the

Just trying to share some of the good and free love with everyone
hmmm.... i dont even kno how to reply to you w175jab!!! what should i say??? ok...... the requirments doesnt mean nothing atleast not for consumer... for me i dont rely on requirements.... generally the requirements is only to run the program and the makers of any games just want money..... if someone has a cheap rig and wants to play.... they check requirments... they say o0h it meets their spec so they buy it! but really what matters is from users experiment. always get higher spec from the reccomended requirments. and as you see rappelz has low card requirments than system ram.... rappelz and many other mmos is crucial for memory. most low budget korean games how high your graphic card is ull still get low frame rates.
you said "Computers with P4 at 2GHz, 512 - 1GB of RAM, and a decent VGA card is standard now and are very common. Next time you go to an office glance over at the badge on their desktop... it's most likely a P4 or equivalent." what are you critiseizing me about?
as of ur spec... you play on minimum - med settings? and jus to point out that asia mostly have low end spec thats why asia is flo0ded with crapp graphic free2play exclude rappelz... it requires much power. also most of them play in a cafe that doesnt have high end gaming rig.
the rest you said is like... duhh! seems like you talking out a blue sky..... blah...
i kno you love rappelz and hope you have a very very nice time with it!
So... Now, essentially you're saying all of Asia has low end computers and that 's why Rappelz is free and popular...
HELLO you've been bitching about how it takes high end rigs to even play this entire time.
The game ripped through the Korean market in less than a month after it was released.
The requirements don't mean anything for the consumer?
Are you bloody stupid? The system requirements are on the download page and printed on PC game boxes for the consumer.
As for my build...
I run the game on Medium to High settings (filtering included) without any problems what so ever.
The DUH stuff...
Sure it's obvious stuff. But obviously you need someone to tell you how to clean your %#$&'d up computer so you can use it.
You're an idiot, go take a freaking English class, there you've been criticized.
Now... back to the subject.
The lag in cities is not fun at all... but once you're in a smaller village and in the wild the lag vanishes. I will keep updating as time goes on in a different thread as a mini blog or something of that sort possibly?
I agree, there are some games that simply shouldn't be listed on the bar to the left.. They only get thier cause they are western games too. Rappelz is a thousand times better then Dark and Light, Horizons, Face of Mankind, and Roma Victor.

I liked Horizons a lot... it would be great if it were re-made, which it basically has been by V:SoH.
The community of Rappelz is pretty mixed up from what I have experienced so far. Someone randomly passing by tried to kill steal off of me the other evening and then proceeded to hit me until my health was low and just left; talk about rude!

As for Forums, you have:
The Official Forums (http://rappelz.gpotato.com/forum/index.php)
Forums moderated by someone with a bad temper and no tolerance for affronts to the English language (http://alizarinhq.com/)
Forums that have always been a little dead, wheares the previous one is only recently dead (http://www.morgheda.net/)
Forums run by people that think they're special just becuase they can host a forum (http://rappelz.spartancommand.net/) (http://www.rappelzhq.com/)
Thieves who have blatantly stolen all of their information without remorse (http://rappelz.mmosite.com/)
So, yes there are plenty of forums other than the official ones.
Crap forums do none of us any good... the official ones at Gpotato are reliable and have heaps of information if you know what you are looking for and can find a GM comment on them.
