Any suggestion for an experienced MMO player?

I've played quite a few MMOs (EQ2, WoW, SWG, Ryzom), but quit them all about a year ago because my job wouldn't allow much of any free time for such a time-consuming hobby while trying to manage three hyper kids and wife with unstable hormones at the same time o_O.  Well, now I have about a month of vacation time to fill with something just for me. Any suggestions for a game? I've been out of the community for a while, an I'm not sure which to re-join or start anew.

if you really want to know the truth there isn't much out there atm. I am gonna wait for Vanuguard looks cool I like the factor of being able to own a house etc etc .I just hope the crafting is something like SWG because that was the best every!

I played RYL:2 its f2p but for some reason the servers have been lagging intense and you get kicked after like 5 mins or atleast I do with cable which is odd because its really fast but when I could play it was pretty good no crafting but still fun.

I have played pretty much all the games you said you played other than Ryzom(played for like 10 mins when it first came out didn't like it so just stopped). I would still be played SWG if you know what didn't happen . Lineage 2 private servers if you ever played that game are pretty cool but get boring after a week or two really its all PvP if you like that and know the game. Hell WoW don't even get me started played for about a week got to level 60 and said well now what do I do that doesn't take 4-5 hours out of my life every single day .

If I where you I would start looking for games that are coming out soon or suppose to be atleast than just try to find something to kill the time. So far my biggest time killers are BF:2  and RYL:2. Hope that helps atleast alittle.

P.S Finnaly got my bowflex today  so no more waking up at 5am for the gym than work plus that kills helps kills time when I get home hehe.

Should try the free trial of Dark age of Camelot. Its not the same game as it was a few years ago but its still the most fun after max lvl (imo).  You can raid if you want but its not like wow where you have to, to compete. Or you can just small group pvp, solo stealth pvp or go the full scale realm vs realm wars ( zerg). Build siege war equipment via rams, catpults etc etc, beat down enamy reamls castle and keep doors. Of all the mmos ive played this one was by far the most fun at max lvl. The community was like no other and the realm wars were awsome. I know its changed alot since i played hard core but the grafics are still really good and the game play is still the best.

    searching for the next DAoC....

I'de suggest trying out EQ2 again. They released a new X-pac about a month ago, which lets you play the Fae. The new Trial is called "Play the Fae" EQ2 has changed a lot in the past year.

If you never try CoH/CoV, you should try it.  CoV is better than CoH, no HOs!

You may quit it fast, but most players quit HAPPY with their experience.  Unlike peoples quitting sooo many MMOs, utterly unhappy.  CoH/CoV may lack or be wonderfull to you, but it will never (almost) lie to you, letting you believe into something that isn't...unlike other MMOs that slap you hard.

Im downloaded the trial for DAOC right now. I played it when it first came out and got bored with it. Figured id try it again and play a little. at least a months worth.

Another game i found that was back 2 months ago was Project Visitor aka 10six. Check the post for info on that.

Those are the only 2 mmorpgs i can suggest u to give a try. Neither will run your life and both are fun.

My ultimate mmorpg would be a street racing/ car      one. Something like old school Motor City Online. Damn i miss that game.

DDO has a 10-day trial and it's dirt cheap retail too. You can effectively play 40-days for $10-15  (£6 was what it cost me on amazon.co.uk)

That will give you many fun hours with real questing, and it's fantastic if you have 1-5 hours to play without interuption.

If you're going to have to go afk every few mins I suggest  WoW or EQ2, then again IMHO the 1st month in DDO is 1000x more rewarding.
