EQ is a nice game. No matter what anyone says about it, it has more positives than negatives.
But SWG is not "EQ in space". And not even close. The two game engines are 100% different and not just in graphics. EQ is a Level based game. SWG is a Skill Based game.
EQ has a weak player economy and new player need not even think about trying to sell items LOL.
SWG has the strongest player economy out of any MMORPG and new players can jump right in witih stuff even vet players will want to buy.
Crafting in EQ is almost non-existant. Except for the uber-highest level players. And even then, to get crafting componets one is FORCED to engage in non-stop treadmill combat.
Crafting in SWG is the best out of any MMORPG. One does not need to engage in combat to craft. One can also be an effective crafter without being an uber-veteran.
And of course EQ has zones while SWG has no zones what-so-ever. Not even when entering a city!
SWG also has TONS, TONS, TONS, of much, much, more features not found in EQ. 
The only things simular between EQ and SWG, is they are both owned by the same parent company. And both EQ and SWG have almost the same number of accounts. EQ with over 400,000 accounts. SWG with over 330,000 accounts.

Because the subject that the original poster touched on "is SWG just EQ in space?"
IS still relevant right now. And is a question many lurkers, and new players have on their minds, even at present time.

No need to, since this one already is about the subject that is still a viable subject right now at present time "Is SWG just EQ in space?".
Why have 10 threads all about the same subject? but with 4 posts in each one? When 1 thread about the subject with 50 posts is better.... and the intention of the moderators here at MMORPG.com.
