in Lineage 2

For this newb quest, Im suppsoed to kill Were rats inside the Elven fortress and collect their fangs.  Thats all well and good, But the past 6 times I killed Varool Foulclaw his fang didnt drop, and its needd for a quest.

What am I doing wrong?

    Nothing, it's a random drop.

    Keep going, sometimes I have killed monsters for ever and have yet to receive a quest drop. It is all random like poster above said
