  • Any other MMOs like Path of Exile?

I don't care what you call it or what other sites say. MMORPG.com lists it as an MMO.

Massively also calls it an MMO

    http://massivelyop.com/tag/path-of-exile/

    Official Site: Path of Exile
    Studio: Grinding Gear Games
    Launch Date: October 23, 2013
    Genre: Gothic Fantasy MMOARPG

So you can call it whatever you want, I'm going to keep calling Path of Exile an MMO as said by both two major MMORPG sites, Massively and MMORPG.
I see you've been taking lessons in Elementary Hair Splitting 101 from SeanMCad.
The link in official website says "Path of Exile is an online Action RPG set in the dark fantasy world of Wraeclast. It is designed around a strong online item economy, deep character customisation, competitive PvP and ladder races. The game is completely free and will never be "pay to win"."

  • You ever asked yourself "what's the point?"?

Darkest Dungeon kept me up until midnight last night playing. Had I been asking "what's the point?" I don't think I would have been enjoying it.
I think the game has become very hard now I was beginning to think like my sad heroes "hopeless", "despair" and "dissolution".

after quitting Rift I realized I'm only happy when I'm tanking...

my point is often social interaction from my safezone at home. I prefer living in a fantasy world instead of the harsh reality. Im a grown manchild, call me peter pan.

  • SotA complex food system...WTF

there's three separate MMO directions that people are looking at and members of one group have no business debating the other two as they don't understand them or their appeal well enough.

    1) max immersion. life simulation in virtual universe. as detailed as possible.

    2) max competitiveness. The game is an infinite stage for you to display your skills to all others to observe admire, replicate, improve, perfect, challenge and compete. infinite vertical progression, milestone after milestone to hit and exceed, then another to strive towards.

    3) max time-to-action density. Jump in, do a 30min heart-racing gaming session, get out. Think of the matrix. plug in, everyone wants to kill you, plug out, go dance in a cave.

Obviously this game reaches for #1. Making arguments that is not #3 makes me think "no duhhhh!"

  • The MMO everyone should try playing this June

    I don't think it's an MMO, sir.
