if you want bag space, i'm afraid your best option is to subscribe so you can get the crafting bag which will hold all crafting mats, freeing up a ton of space

If you plan on crafting at all and don't want to jump between alts who are holding various mats .. you'll have to get the crafting bag .. which means a subscription.
