PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds News - When the XBox One version of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds launches in Australia next week (on December 12th via XBox Game Preview), XBox AU will be throwing out three real life PUBG-themed crates. One will be dropped in Sydney, one in Brisbane and one in Melbourne. The drops will be "live" on Saturday, December 9th.

    For Star Wars Australia declared loot boxes gambling and are generally reviled across the industry now.

    But PUBG hold a real life loot box event?

    Because.......it doesn't involve even the tiniest bit of the gambling RNG nature of in-game boxes and is 100% just a typical "solve the riddles" type contest?  :|

    Before you know it, people will camp the lootboxes using snipers. As painfull as that would be ofcourse terorist-wise, i would find that ironic as fuck XD

    True, but it is also effectively flaunting the fact that PlayerUnknown betrayed and spat on the people who made his game a smash hit beyond any game developer's wildest dreams.

    Sorry, but them holding a real life Loot Box event essentially promotes Loot Boxes in general. Don't care for it.
