Really? I haven't played in a few months but I never remember loading screens being a big deal in this game.

Seems like a good promotion. I actually updated the game the other day with the intent on doing some Cyrodiil but work has been busy lately and I've not had time to play. I'll definitely jump on for the Dungeon Event

    SSD

Or go even more up-to-date with your hardware and do M.2

Since I've upgraded to M.2 it makes SSD feel like an old school platter HDD. Plus you will never know what Loading Screen Simulator is ever again. Don't blame a game because your computer is 5-7 years old.

I advice anybody who haven't done so to try this game. I became tired of mmos some time ago. Everything felt stale and uninspiring. I started playing FF 11 once again but my boyfriend started to complain that he want's to play with me but something newer. So we decided to try ESO and I have to say the game is very fun. I absolutely love their skill system and the ability to constantly change your build etc.
Sure I'm still newbie here but so far I've been very nicely surprised.

Thanks for all the suggestions of improving my computer and upgrading my SSDs... alas it will do nothing as it's ZOS that royally fsck'ed up again:

ESO's had notorious loading screen issues since launch, that is traveling to and within Cyrodiil. Early on there were many permanent loading screens, it was a big enough issue where ZOS claimed they had no more in an ESO live episode a year+ ago, and many players posted videos following that of them still being ingame. As of now, ESO still has loading screens of upwards from 5-10 mins within Cyrodiil. It's a known feature pvpers have to deal with and they almost always control-alt-delete and close the process then re-launch to get back into game significantly quicker than waiting the whole loading screen duration.

I bought the game at release and bought the ps4 transfer copy thing and have not experienced any long loading times.
Must be an issue for the pvp part only which I haven't tried yet.

Not lately. The latest loading screen problem was introduced with the Clockwork City due to a new texture loading scheme and it was happening in a lot of places on all 3 platforms:

So, what was the bug? In Update 16, we added in a new system that refined the character texture loading pipeline as part of our ongoing effort to increase performance and framerate in high-intensity situations (such as in Cyrodiil and densely-populated cities). Unfortunately, this new pipeline was causing some character textures to get lost, which was causing the load screen to never drop because there were still textures that need to be loaded.
While we continue to work on fixing this issue fully, we’re going to be making two changes to an upcoming incremental patch. First, we’re going to be reverting to the old pipeline which doesn’t have this issue, but may affect how quickly you see other characters loading in (this will essentially be the same as it was before Clockwork City). Further, we’re introducing a new failsafe that will force your load screen to drop after two minutes if it is only waiting on textures. This patch is currently with first party certification for testing; the patch for PlayStation 4 and PC/Mac will be published next Tuesday, November 28. The patch for Xbox One requires a bit more time with first party certification, and we’re targeting a publish during the week of December 4.
The fix is now live except on XB which will get it next week. It was also not universal - it never affected me on the PC at all.

When they first launched the game I experienced immensely long loading times. Especially on startup. But no more.

Ah that one - that's the new Ebonshadow crafted armor in heavy. It's one of the new ones that can be crafted in from the Clockwork City - the motif pages that allow you to learn how to craft that style drop only in the CWC and you can then use it to craft any armor using that style,
