"Hi,
this year’s CitizenCon will be held on Friday 27th October at the Capitol Theater in Offenbach, near Frankfurt am Main in Germany. The Adress is Kaiserstraße 106, 63065 Offenbach. Offenbach is a separate city, but is close-by Frankfurt am Main.
I live near the city and will be there, too. This is a small survival guide for Citizens around the world who will visit for the first time.
First of all, transport. I recommend traveling by train. It’s called S-Bahn and U-Bahn for the local connections. Also tram (Straßenbahn), bus (Buss) and taxi are possible. Here is a map about the important stations and also the website from the RMV, where you can get detailed information about the travel plans:
https://www.bahn.com/i/view/index.shtml
For the ones who arrive on the airport. FRA is one of the largest airports in the world, so bring some time crossing it. The fastest way to go the capitol from the airport is with the line S8 or S9 with the direction Hanau. Your destination is Offenbach – Ledermuseum. And yes, there is a leather museum in Offenbach.
Please note: You have to buy a ticket before you enter the train. Sometimes a controller will check your ticket and you have to pay 60 €, if you don’t have one. S-Bahn and U-Bahn are driving until circa 1 AM. After this there are night lines per bus.

You can buy your ticket from the bus driver.
Some traditional foods and drinks are Schnitzel with Grüner Soße (Green Sauce) and Apfelwein (Cider). I would recommend German beer.

Some landsmarks you can visit. The Römer is a nice place and has the city hall. Next to it is the Eiserner Steg, a bridge with a nice few for the skyline of Frankfurt. Here is a link for some more landmarks:

Want to buy some stuff? I recommend the Zeil. It’s one of the biggest street with high street retail. It also includes MyZeil, a shopping centre build a few years ago. The Skyline Plaza is also a big shopping centre near the Frankfurt main train station. Here are some more opportunities.

Party time! If you want go out for a drink, Frankfurt Sachsenhausen is the place to go. It’s a district from Frankfurt with a lot of bars and pubs. Lokalbahnhof is the nearest S-Bahn station. You find the location here:
https://www.frankfurt-tourismus.de/en/Media/Attractions/Buildings/Old-Sachsenhausen
Or you want to visit a club. The MTW and Robert Johnson are located in the same building and play mostly electronic music. The THW or Tanzhaus West is also a club for house and techno I recommend. If you want to visit a club with metal and rock try the Final Destination.

I hope this helped. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I try to update this thread and post it again, if the CitizenCon 2017 comes near.
Have a nice day.
Greetings"

Hats off to the reddit OP as well.
If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.
All gone, the tickets are vaporware I tell you!
Question is indeed what has one of the world's must used weather apps to do with this citcon...
Proper showcase of planetary weather at last? hmm
MyRadar doing SC's weather App? I'm confuse O_o
intriguing though.
Considering last years presentation in a planet with a big plenitude of biomes from mountains to plains, snow to desert and water it's a great time to showcase the improvements done by the magic germans to the planetary quality, what's shown in 3.0 it's already very good but there's always room for improvement and optimization.
This shows there's something between them and CIG to be announced at Citcon, it only makes sense to be something relating to weather, but then again the involvement of that company on the mix I can't tell what may come from there.
Was wondering about why they had a 40-50 PCs setup for this Citizencon, a side of playable 3.0 stuff it seems they'll let people try out FOIP.

sounds interesting.
Have fun
For now perhaps if they have a live demo it will be at the end (the keynote doesn't specify what it will be).
But this is to be a long stream due the format changes gg
Stuff wasn't ready as usual so we had to throw in some fluff and hype.
The model is shown upthread.
150 of the SSDs given to people in the audium. Nice !
Have fun
A the new Sabre ship is Exclusive for purchasing one Octane SSD.
A side of that people in Citcon going to get one for free (150), that is a pretty good deal being those SSD's 400$.
Have fun
Interesting presentation about natural movement over uneven terrain, slopes and stairs.
Next presentation is on "How to get one frame of Star Citizen on the screen". And the intro movie is enlightening - so many layers that form a single picture !
Long intricate presentatin on Xian - culture, language, technology, history.
Now a presentation on the Stanton system, its planets, moons and the different corporations (and how they shape the planet's visual style).
Have fun
You can learn to speak and read Xian.
That linguist hired because of the SC stretch goal was quite busy.
Have fun
