PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds News - In a new interview at Bloomberg Technology, Brendon Green, creator of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, and Bluehole Chairman Chang Byung-gyu have offered a couple of pretty interesting little nuggets of information including the fact that Bluehole is in talks with Sony about bringing PUBG to PlayStation 4. Up to now, the only console that had managed such a feat was Microsoft for XBox One. The inclusion of PS4 could make the juggernaut title an even bigger juggernaut.

Performance on pc is terrible, I shudder to think what it will be like on consoles.

how about that? competition brings proposed increases in development of a game that had a perceived monopoly. . .

guess someone at Bluehole realized they couldn't coast on a minimum viable product anymore.

720p and the view distance would need to be turned way down and all quality sliders turned down. IMO the game has a long, long way to go before its ready for even talk of console ports.

Maybe they should finish the game and get it out EA before worrying about launching on PS4.

No wonder they are now pushing it.
Fortnite was a huge success and they now see the need to release it faster as they don't want to loose the competition on consoles.

There's no longer a requirement in the industry to finish a title.

It's become acceptable to gaming journalists, even, for developers to hide behind the early access label.  These titles would've been completely destroyed years ago, but developers have used marketing-savvy terms to convince players and journalists alike that it's awesome for us to pay money for an incomplete project because reasons.

No offense to Bill and the gang, but MMORPG.com isn't even immune.  It'd be refreshing to see the staff here be the first to draw the line in the sand and say "if you're going to charge folks for the product, we're going to treat it as a release state product, early access label be damned."

Crowdfunding has become more detrimental to the consumer than publishers ever were.

How many things does Tencent actually own stakes in. I know they had something to do with Hi-rez at some point, they own riot, they keep buying smaller games up, and now they are investing in pubg.
