Great news for people following this project. Some real talent has been added to the staff.

The video shows us a generated world while talking about hirelings.
Unless some hired employees came from the old Square Enix,it would be meaningless to me.I happen to already know where the creative minds reside so these are just a bunch of people who made or make very average stuff.
    Concept art is meaningless.
Teh generated world although to just look at it looks quite good is again meaningless.

Game design in a mmorpg goes well beyond the basic superficial look see stuff, you have to bring very good ideas together to form a great game.
This guy is doing some pretty bad games,Kritika,Conan Exiles, etc etc.

AOC as most are aware that have seen anything, already know to expect a decent generated world,we need to get well beyond that stage now.We have been waiting for something meaningful, something that says ok these ideas look great and will fit together throughout the game.

I was careful to word it as such ..FIT TOGETHER.I do not like sloppy lazy game design, like slap meaningless quests together to attain levels, flashing markers all over to hold player hands to connect the dots.I don't like a meaningless GAME that leads to end game loot dungeon 24/7,nor do i want to hear about RAIDS,i want a complete GAME and the i want the game world to feel like a living role play world, not a bunch of instances.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

At least they have a chance of coming to fruition eventually, even if it ends up sucking unlike CoE

A little early to asking for a meaningfully put together game isn't it? I mean, and as you said, they've barely shown a handful of art assets... games, and most especially MMOs, take years to come together.

I backed AoC on Kickstarter, so I'm hopeful, but I'm treating it very much as a "when it's done", so thanks for the update.
