Secret World Legends News - Now that Secret World Legends has a few days under its belt, the developers are ready to unveil some of the things that players can expect when patch v2.0.1 debuts. Most, if not all, of the changes coming in the update are in response to player feedback, most notably changes directed to "new players, monetization, loot rewards and the Patron system".

Didn't read anything about the keys for dungeon loot that basically limit your daily dungeon runs...
I really hope they change that, so that people can run as many dungeon as they want rather than just 2-3 dungeons to use their keys and be done with it for the day.

The fixed amount of keys stays but now if you like running dungeons you now get xp upon completion of them. Additionally, you can use marks of favor to buy more keys.

@123ffix @Dragnelus didn't know you could get them for mof. That changes things :P
Apart from leveling I haven't really looked into the markets, but gonna do it the next time I log.

Loving the fact they are listening and trying to tweak the kinda annoying bits.. Like hardly any actual loot from dungeons just distillates and not much gear t use them on.. Lol.

Only downside for me is, you can only put 10 items per day on the mp, even with patron.

They did saying during the live stream that is a temporary measure put in place after the exploit and to ensure the market is stable once they are happy it is they will increase that limit.

Personally I would like them to remove the need for keys to open chests in the dungeons as it does limit runs and is not needed they have loot caches their version of loot boxes they should do what every other MMO does and push them but they have tried to double down on that market...

Thanks for the info.  I am glad to hear they are listening to the player base.  Most of these changes are welcomed by the players.  I am still concerned in a sense that Patron status seems to be missing that one of two somethings that to me make it feel worthy of a sub.  As Dragnelus and Kelador discussed the 10 items per day on the mp would be a welcomed addition.

The changes to fusion making it 1000-1500 aurum to do a fusion made me uninstall. I have spent $150 on it already and hope they choke to death on their greed.

What are you talking about? Fusion costs Marks of Favor, not Aurum. Edit: Removed numerical value of MoF

When you pay a monthly sub, they should just drop normal loot for you, instead of lockboxes!
Like it used to be with Subscription based MMO's! /facepalm

No matter what they change for Patron, you still being facepalmed by Casino gambling crap!

My biggest complaint about SWL is all the damn loot boxes.

Folks may call it a slippery slope fallacy if they wish, but your point shows clearly what direction publishers will take features such as loot boxes once players accept the foot-in-the-door, so to speak.

Funcom overplaying their hand. So surprising. I doubt that this will be enough change. Maybe they should attract some decent game designers for their next project to replace some marketeers :p Because they certainly didn't have any for this overhaul.

Im just taking my time. That feeling when wandering alone. Gives me a mix of walking dead and supernatural and I like that.

Was just wandering and saw an abandoned house, walked in took some legends (nice exp and info). Went to the attic heard some noise, went into a room, walls became covered in blood I heard the wind blowing, some lady screaming and looked at my hp and almost died walked out, tried to enter again and there was a barrier.

Did 2 dungeons and I think I did it with vets they took me to all the secret legends. I heard within a few weeks an event comes. Hope I reach 50 by then.

Their monetary strategy is probably the worst part of this re-launch. It's awful. As someone who has a grand master account from TSW, there is literally nothing that I want to spend money on in SWL. If I wasn't a GM, I still wouldn't get a sub (Patron) because as it stand now it's not worth it and there's no way I'm paying what they want for dungeon and loot crate keys.

The game itself is better, IMO. The combat is a bit better, the UI is many times better and it's much easier for new players to figure things out. I miss the ability wheel but I understand why they changed it. The level of difficulty going form the starting area to the next area was kind of harsh. I was constantly getting curb stomped because I either didn't have enough elite skills or my gear wasn't up to date enough, or both. Having levels, both for your character and mobs, gives you a better idea of where you should be leveling up at.

The "completionist" inside me can't tolerate being handed a bunch of boxes I can't open so I'm going to have to steer clear for this reason alone.
