    Ohhhh how I tried.   The game... has not aged well. Clunky UI, poor animations, dated graphics and basic control schemes we've gotten used to since that just weren't implemented back then (IE mashing buttons, pounding the keyboard wondering why nothing is happening and then realizing DAoC never mapped a button for that action, etc.).

    More agreement here. CU is no DAoC. It's an insult to DAoC.

    The mess Broadsword has made of DAOC is very different from the version of it most CU backers fondly remember from the pre-EA years. If DAOC was still roughly the game we loved back in the early to mid part of the previous decade, we very well might still play it. (And we don't play the free shard version of it because PvE level grinding for months before we can RvR isn't what we liked about it.)

    MJ is absolutely making the game for you.

    I enjoy the PVE level grinding hence I am doing it all again.

    Yet I'm a CU KSer backer because I want to see what all turns out.

    Well there's a name I haven't seen in ages...

    It's Wicalil/Whaelin, ran with Durenda and Conspiracy. I think I had a stint in DoC, was in HALO for a bit...
