I didn't even know it existed. But if it's only a mobile ARPG then I didn't miss out on much.

It was a neat little game, this is kind of a shame, really.

The graphics and combat hold me back from installing this. The story seemed to be OK though.

I'm in the 'didn't know it existed' category.  Tbh, I mostly play things like Words or Class of Clans on mobile.   I'm mainly a PC gamer.

Too many mobile games available nowadays. Times are tough to make a go of it. Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is still alive, but that's turned based.

But Galaxy of Heroes is actually NEWER than Uprising.  And Galaxy of Heroes replaced the LAST Star Wars card game Force-whatever.  So let's not pretend here.. once again Disney screws over its customers.

Never heard of it, but, mobile games do tend to close down sooner than other types generally, and some types of games just don't do well on the mobile platform. :o

Never heard of it, but then again I don't even own a smart phone.

I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.

I like Star Wars but the story ,gameplay and graphics I found boring in this game..... the controls feel awkward in a way also on a phone. (might be better on tablets though)

That's because Galaxy of Heroes was a P2W cash shop gold mine and Uprising was a decent interesting stand alone. They killed the one they couldn't milk.

Someone suggested that free to play would lead not only to short games but to short life of servers hosting the games........

Agreed Mike.  I was sad to see that Marvel's Ultimate alliance 1 and 2 are also closing.  I mostly play FFEXVIUS, Walking Dead and SW: Heroes.  I will be really sad if any of these closes down.

So are these mobile games going for even the quicker buck than PC games and then shutting down?

Funcom just screwed their Lego customers again with closing down their online game.
lol! I had no idea that was happening but just googled it.
All online services for the game will be shut down on 30 September 2016.

This is a shame. I really liked the game back then but at some point they turned it into an expensive b2p version and all that was left for me in terms of content was grinding mini dungeons to unlock more figures - not my style.

I remember them selling an expensive lifetime subscription on Christmas 2014... apparently a lifetime now means 2 years.

It's vicious out there in the mobile world. Very competitive and things fail faster than on other mediums since everyone seems to have decided to make mobile games. Makes me angry since I use my phone for calls and photos and videos and never almost never if you leave sudoku out game. I wish all that talent was poured into PC games instead ........huge sigh

I played this around release. Uprising was great fun until you reached a certain level. Then you had to spend real life cash to progress due to the sudden insane increase in difficulty. Really a shame ;(

People don't want another fps when they think of Star Wars.

That is happening a lot lately with smaller scale online games. Funcom just screwed their Lego customers again with closing down their online game.
People can't understand why I will never buy another Funcom game... The rule fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me very much applies.  How long will it be before that rule drives away every game player in existence?

The world is going to the dogs, which is just how I planned it!
