So how many people have to play this game for it to live to its potential?

Never played DAoC in the past so I have no idea.

I participated in the entirety of Closed Alpha, now we move into beta and the gratitude they show the testers is by forcing us to pay to continue to provide them with testing that directly benefits their game?

Fuck that, and fuck you Big Picture Games, you can stuff your paid beta up your ass.

BPG will not get a cent of my money. They will operate no different then AV did with the game. A group of ex darkfall players running the game, do you honestly think they can not be corrupt and sway the game in favor of certain parties? also they are too amateur to run a game that isnt fp2. they are sloppy and a rag tag group of developers.

How do you know all this? Can you predict the future?
Would you mind proving any of it?

Yeah what? They need funding to continue the development of the game, plus it's allowing players to test the game for them and also be able to experience what they have wanted to play for a long period of time. I think it's worth a monthly fee to help them out and be able to play it before the launch.

no monthly fee tho..  and after 5/6 months or maybe more they go open beta

i dont see any milking going on here tbh..

Remove Transfers, from either of these start ups and I will be interested. The maintenance and scripts involved to combat such spam "twitch play" is quite the small niche of players. Moment I seen those shit transfers still in game I lost all interest. Maybe if they had 2-3 min cooldowns.

I tried New Dawn out and it was pretty clunky and laggy to say the least, maybe this version will be better?

The 2 week open beta idea is a brilliant move. Thanks for that.

New dawn wasn't really laggy for me, maybe your ping was high or something? Clunkyness just comes with the game, in general it was clunky to begin with, but it was kind of part of the game I guess. Also out of the two they both had incredibly similar pings for me, and Rise of Agon had more players from what I saw since I played both of the betas.

Seriously? I found RoA clunky as hell when it was first out and DND a lot smoother?
