I keep Reading about it here and there (both from devs and players),
but at the same time, I dont see any posts as such indicated that it has been officially released yet.
Than is it in early access or something?
If that is the case, when is it going to be (officially) released?
As usual, thx in advance for any&all possible answers

It's going into early access for subscribers this month on the 19th.
It's currently playable on the PTS. They've made a pretty cool system.

Seems like an impressive update.
It is. And a great one for crafters too, as a ton of the stuff for Strongholds is craftable.

For which profesison? Or they going to add a New one?
For all of them! Every skill's got a bunch of different things they can make, ranging from making coaches to crafting computers.
From my venture onto the PTS it seemed that every skill got a bunch of items that made sense for it. I recall seeing some coaches for Synthweavers for example. Cybertechs probably get computers, etc.

Nice. That's good to hear.

There's a list of all the decorations that will be available when it goes live. And how to get them. There are some for achievements, reputation, etc as well in addition to the craftable ones.
And of course some on the Cartel Market, much like Aion has.

The crafting mats you need are all over the spectrum.
Basically you make these "prefab kits" which you then exchange with the vendor for a certain item.
A list of materials that are needed to make the kits can be found here: http://tor-decorating.com/crafting-prefabs-dark-project/

Some Nice info! Thanks!
PS. Nice to see some positive and constructive threads on these forums for a change, after all the trolling and whining all over these forums lately.
Man I really wish people were actually critical around here. Instead its just a bunch of rants and complaints. (Pro tip: that's not being critical)
Here's a legitimate piece of criticism; the Galactic Strongholds have 3 different rollout dates for subscribers, preferred, and free players. Realistically, preferred and free players can't make much use of this system. If you can make multi-millions in your hidden escrow balance as a preffered or free account and keep track of that total, and withdraw it all at once with a single Escrow transfer to fully unlock a stronghold and the connecting rooms, I would be shocked. But then you are going to have financial and account limitations on buying or earning raid furniture or the cartel packs that have them going foward. Strongholds are designed in such a limiting way they might as well not be available for preferred or free players, which makes the staggered release and the fanfare around it senseless.
I used "if" once, and did not once say "maybe," "not sure," "could have," "I'm not really sure," or "I don't know."
Strongholds are on the PTR and I clearly do know how they're going to work. Here's the price sheet for unlocks:
They'll be able to get the "basic" ones, Dromund Kaas and Coruscant.
I don't know how much the most expensive rooms cost to unlock, but I know you don't have to do them all at once. So many of them are actually within their credit limits. (I just unlocked a couple on PTS a few days ago)
I think the "balcony" will be a part they won't be able to unlock without an escrow. But it would take only one or so.
So it's not entirely pointless for F2P and prefs. They just can't get all four of them without subscribing at least for a month, or just buying the CC to unlock them.

I was wrong about the balcony, that one will pretty much be beyond them, but all the others are very affordable.

I agree that the preferred and free players get a taste, but full unlocks are relevant for the conquest bonuses, personal & guild, that are tied to Strongholds(if that's something a player is interested in). Those players are definitely going to be at a disadvantage. I agree that subbing for a month is the easiest workaround for a player, but I think the prices make an unappealing barrier compared to Starfighter, along with raid decor locked behind weekly passes or subbing.
Not the end of the world, but I think it's unfair to those two groups.
Wow, that's much cheaper than I thought. It looks like the only thing F2P won't be able to afford is balcony... not a big deal in my opinion.
I will get my Dromund Kaas apartment fully unlocked on the first day. So excited!!!!!

LOL, it's my absolute favorite planet and Dromund Kaas stronghold will be my Base of operations. I guess it's a matter of opinion .
P.S. Besides the planet is oozing with raw force... I can use it and magnify it just from my Balcony!!!!

F2P's and prefs have always had it "unfair". Unless they pay for a few things they never get the "full" experience.
That being said, it's not all that bad though. They just need to get 600k over their credit cap with escrows, which probably means that it'll cost them an extra 600k.
So they could get the balcony with a bit more effort at 1.6 million creds.

No worries! Having alts is a good thing thanks to the Legacy system.
You can still make money on the lower level characters by crafting things and putting them on the GTN as well.
