My guild got a chance to play this recently and we fell in love with the game. It has good pvp , pve, ranking system and awesome secondary systems in the game to keep one interested.
They just released this update to their game for the next phase of testing. Get in on ground level and apply for alpha/beta now.

After Age of Wushu and the crappy support Snail gave the players, I really think it kept a lot of potential players from even paying attention to this game.
If it were under a different host, I believe it would have been a lot more hyped and anticipated.
This is a Snail game? No thanks.
You can be the test subject this time. I did Wushu, your doing this one.
Publisher aside, it actually was a surprisingly good game in the closed beta. It needs some polish and smoothing out of combat, as well as some class balancing. But overall, very fun and well done game. Lots of different things to do whether you like PvE or PvP. Here is a list of a bunch of the stuff that is in game already:
- Typical storyline quests
- Daily quests with various purposes. Regular xp / loot, faction points, etc
- various types of public dungeons, where you can get some very nice drops and also encounter PvP. be very wary of enemy players here as you might just get snuck up on in the middle of fighting the boss and wind up losing the boss loot as well as the treasure chest full of loot
- group instances (dungeons) that you can preform or queue up for that have their own quests and achievements associated with them. there are also hard modes of these dungeons available when you reach certain levels
- Trial of the Brave - sort of a solo Survival mode thing. You fight wave after wave of changing enemies, with a tough boss every 6 or so waves for increased rewards
- 1 v 1 arenas, both balanced (everyone in same gear) and might score based versions where you use your actual gear & stats
- 10 v 10 and 25 v 25 battlefields
- Bloodfang Citadel - a large battlefield that is pretty much all about using your mechs / beasts to control 5 objectives for a 30 minute long battle. starts at the top of every hour
- open world pvp
- alliance wars weekly where every can join in a huge battle for control of zones & resources. we only got to do 1 of these during CBT, they occur weekly, but man that shit was fun. so much nonstop fighting. hopefully they expand it to mor ethan 1x per week
- treasure map hunting
- world bosses
- world events (similar to PQs, Rifts, etc in other games)
- Shadow hunts - you can spawn the shadow of one of your enemies and kill it for rewards, but the enemy gets a notice of the attack and can come defend it along with some backup if they have it. nice rewards for success
- Grand Prix mount racing events occuring throughout the day with championships weekly
- Bombs away trial - have dogfights against other players on flying carriers / beasts whle both you and them are trying to destroy objectives in enemy bases
- Lions Den trial - sneak into enemy cities with a disguise and obtain intel from NPCs, but enemy players can uncover your disguise and attack you along with NPC guards
- Caravan trial - Escort a supply wagon from 1 city to another, all while coming under attack from both robber NPCs and enemy players who can destroy your wagons and retrieve the supplies for rewards
- Path of the Warrior system - Unlock some rewards simply for completing storyline quests in each chapter. Complete the chapter to unlock the difficult mod eof that chapter which offers typically 6 different challenges for various rewards including some nice equipment. Challenges include things like winning in the arena, bloodfang citadel, or regular battlefields x number of times, reach x wave in Trial of the Brave, clear certain dungeons / kill certain bosses.
- Achievement system - your standard achievement system where you earn points for completing special tasks. Some offer special rewards as well, such as titles
- Title system that matters - The title you wear can actually boost your stats. There are several different ways of earning titles ranging from things like reaching a certain might score, completing certain events & achievements, or creating battle carriers / beasts
- Upgradeable carrier / beast system - There are IIRC 7 different categories of cariers / mounts you can create, which you will need to obtain recipes for. Each can be upgraded for several stages through spending medals (sort of a currency) and then upgraded to a new version of that type with a new recipe. After upgrding through several of the basic types, you reach a point where you can branch off into 2 different paths for that type, each offering its own unique advantages & special skills from eachother. Further down the line thrugh mor eupgrades you eventually unlock sort of an ultimate version of that type. Also, each type you create gives you a new title you can wear, with various stat bonuses for each type. Upgrading to better versions also gets you the better version of that title, improving your stats even further.
It does sort of scream shill or nerd raging fan
They are using a sands of time model for payment. This will not be a pay to win game. I am/was the original poster. I had this old account I forgot I had. When I realized I had 2 MMORPG accounts, I closed the newest one. I did not realize the negative effect that would have on my posts.
My guild plans to play this game. We played in Alpha and closed beta as well. This game is fun and mainly a pvp game. It is very unique. It starts off slow. Once you understand the concept of the game and realize there are many systems within systems that give the game extreme depth, you will become a fan.
Do not try to play this game for a day or two and expect to have a clue, leveling your char is fast.....Even a casual player can be max level in a week. Once you character becomes max level, the game begins. You have many avenues for pvp, open world, arenas, battle grounds and yes, even slaughter mode where you can kill your own faction. The Energy war map is part of the open world and allows faction vs faction alignment wars on Friday night. The other nights of the week it is guild vs guild, within your own faction.
Leveling your Battle mounts will take a long time. Battle Mount fighting is a rock/paper/scissor. You can own multiple Battle mounts, each has its own unique abilities and you can upgrade each one to suit your style. This will define the men from the boys long term. Having a powerful character in one thing. Having the best battle mounts in the game is far more time consuming/powerful.
Is this game perfect, hect NO!!!... There are some quirks/movement issues. Is this game fun and have extreme depth that a few days of playing will not expose? Hect, YES!!
Our guild has not had this much fun playing a game since lineage2/RF online days. This game is VERY guild oriented. Guilds will control the end game maps. This allows for a really fun political structure as well. I can see guilds splintering, in fighting and odd alliances being formed. Yes there is an alliance feature as well.
Give it a try, it is free to play.....Just realize it does start slow......It has an in depth leader board system for those who are competitive as well.
I got a beta key for this game, it was interesting even with his quest hub system.
My main issue though was the terrible lag, i am from EU. I played many other games, with decent ms delay, but this one made it impossible to play, 700-1000 ms server delay.
I am curious if any1 one know if this aspect was improved or something!
All the best!
I was checking it out around you tube and found this: Black Gold First Look
Some things look good but enemies dont attack you even at level 11? Kinda wonky right?
Thank god Gpotato was bought out by webzen.
Thank god Skyforge is being published by Obsidian.
I think this game would be great under a new publisher.
The Allods team learned. Why can't these other compaines.
I hope snail gets sold off and becomes Chinas ***** like they did to Gpotato.

I did not experience any lag at all during the time I played in the beta. I played about three days into it and I'm on the west coast in the United States. The game ran great to me, I got to about level 15 and checked out various parts of game play including the motorcycle and the battle mech. The graphics look great and the game seemed smooth to me.
I agree there should be much more attention as this game has a lot of interesting things to it with the way the story unfolds. I guess I am oblivious to which company owns what, when, why and how, I just enjoy the game. Seems like when some people see a new publisher they don't know, the flames on forums start just because ... why? The game looks great to me, plays great and I've created all of the names I want when the game launches. So to me, I'm glad personally that not a lot of people know you can create your character names now before early access play begins. The company is doing everything right for launch that I can see. It's just that not a lot of people know about it because they don't visit their web site. The character creator is available now for characters used at launch. No MMO company that I'm aware of has done this before where you can create the character you want for launch, that is, get the name you want, build the character you want prior to the rush to play. WildStar had a pre-register thing going which was confusing as hell because the company, Carbine Studios didn't post the time it would be available. And then when it was it had issues and they had to restart it. Snail games not only provided the time, but it was available exactly to the minute. The game was in beta for under a month.
Lets see now...Snail Games, Snail Games...ah here we go.
They published Age of Wushu, which apparently was good, so...
Yep, 'nuff said is right; 'nuff said to make me say "you have my attention".
Since when is Tuesday a direction?
If we do that, we will be waiting longer than the game is even online.
There is not going to be a store (or at least that is their plan).
Since when is Tuesday a direction?
Not sure where Age of Wushu was recieved well aside from eastern countries as they are willing to keep paying to win.
