There seems to be quite a bit of controversial moderation going on over on the ESO forums, it appears to me they are trying to eliminate any form of criticism off their boards, with countless constructive threads sunk in order to take the heat off themselves.
They are also going through removing posts criticising this approach:
Greetings. We are contacting you to let you know that the following comment from the thread titled "Thread sinking" has been removed.Starting to sound like North Korea Online rather than Zenimax Online..Do we all have to get the same haircut as Paul Sage and bow to the glorious developers?
This was removed because it is in violation of The Elder Scrolls Online Forum Code of Conduct.
Inappropriate Content and Language: Certain topics and subjects are deemed inappropriate and not permitted on the official ESO forums. Things that we consider inappropriate are usually illegal, extremely volatile or violent, obscene, vulgar, or simply inappropriate for an official game forum such as ours. Inappropriate content on the ESO forums includes, but is not limited to the following:
Illegal substances and activities
Pirated copyright-protected material
Pornography and other sexually explicit topics
Real-world religion and politics
Tasteless, vulgar, or obscene material
One specific term wed like to call out, as well, is the term gay. It is never appropriate to use gay as a derogatory term.
Please understand that our goal is to create a fun, welcoming, and safe environment for The Elder Scrolls Online community, and continued violations of our Code of Conduct can lead to temporary suspension or permanent deactivation of your forum and game accounts. We encourage you to take a moment to review The Elder Scrolls Online Code of Conduct to prevent future infractions, warnings, or interruption of your access to the forums and the game.
With damage control like that maybe a sign things aren't going too well?
