Is it worth upgrading to the imperial edition?

if you get the imperial edition you get a horse that lets you move way faster.

If you don't get it be prepared to not buy anything for the first 30 lvls to get enough money for said 43k horse.

Money grab...no more than most Collector Editions are.

Imperial race...not something that makes or breaks your character.  Their armor can be gained in game by buying a book from another player.

The Horse is ok not great till you have upgraded it some.

So it depends to you on what $20 is worth.  To me it was.  To other $20 is a big deal for something else.

Thanks what level can you use  the horse from?

Saying the base imperial horse is "way" faster is not really true.  Horse sprinting and character sprinting at start is almost the same.  Just horse can sprint longer than character can.

If you start in Coldharbor you have to wait till you get to a city with a stable.  Horse is then 1G.  Horse can then be upgraded every 20 hrs.  1 point in inventory, speed, or stamina for about 250 g

You can buy a horse separately from their store. That's what I did.

If you have no intention of playing an imperial, don't care about the virtual pets and don't care about the rings of mara then I would just buy the horse separately.

Your not saving a lot of money (six dollars? Something like that) but why waste money when you aren't getting anything of value.

Now, if you find the items in the imperial edition of value then I suppose it's a no brainer.
