early release

in Elder Scrolls Online

Next week Sunday evening at 6 pm overhere in europe, early release starts.... Why does this feel so much like a lost weekend, i keep hoping they will open up the servers at the start of that weekend..  To us imperial pre orders..

 

if not i might have to become very sick by Monday, atleast for two days..

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

    I planned ahead and took monday, tuesday and friday off. Just hope i dont regret it if the servers go up and down monday-tuesday...

    I think they're counting on the fact most folks have to work on Monday so they're servers won't get flooded over the weekend. Remember when they said ESO will release with no server problems? What better way to help realize that prophesy than allowing early access on a Sunday evening? We all know if they allowed early access on a Thursday or Friday then the servers will get bombed.

    I make spreadsheets at work - I don't want to make them for the games I play.

    I'm lucky, I still have a few days from last year, and I have to take them now. So timing is right! It's been a while since last time I took holiday for a game haha

    i was just joking offcourse, i would never call in sick to play a game...  On top of that, everyone would know, as we have been discussing this release quite a few times over the past few weeks, but then i havent been sick for over ten years, so maybe they would not suspect anything

    I'm lucky, I still have a few days from last year, and I have to take them now. So timing is right! It's been a while since last time I took holiday for a game haha

    I'm taking a week off to do some writing, modding and to immerse myself in ESO.

    Pretty much what I did with Skyrim.

    If they were serious about avoiding server stress, they'd launch at midnight EU time, lol

    On a Sunday evening, absolutely everyone who can will be logging in, that's like gaming primetime !

    Iirc, EVE used to set new concurrent player records on Sunday evenings...

    Has Zenimax confirmed the start of early access? I havent heard anything official yet.

    As far as I know there is no 'set' time on the 30th as yet? I have always assumed (once I got over the ...Sunday...but why???) it would be the same as the betas. Noon time Sunday with the possibility of opening earlier (10AM being the regular time on the betas).

    Just glad of the 'pay to reserve char name service' so I don't have to rush to log in at the start of the early access just to make sure I get the toon names I want.

     

    But I heard they have added an overflow server, so most will be able to play once they get past the log in server bottleneck.

    I'd like to point out that only in gaming will find guys that are happy about an "early release."

    From what I have seen and read, there are no name reservation systems in place. So, if you want a particular name, you had better log in as soon as possible, if you choose a lore friendly name.

    I'll be there as soon as the doors open. Fortunately my names aren't mainstream so they are likely to be unique at least for the 1st crush.

    they havent yet given us the start time but if I had to guess its either going to be 12:00am PST Sunday  or 12pm sunday
