EverQuest Next: Landmark: Need a Grappling Hook? Enter & Win!

Sony Online Entertainment has announced that it will be giving away twenty-five prime EverQuest Next: Landmark grappling hooks during the forthcoming weekend. All fans need to do is enter to win. The grappling hook will only be usable during the EQNL alpha test.

  • Dates & Eligibility

  • Start: February 21, 2014 @ 12:00 pm (US/Pacific)

  • End: February 24, 2014 @ 12:00 pm (US/Pacific)

  • Eligibility: 18 years

  • Prizes

  • SOE will randomly select twenty-five (25) winners from eligible entries to receive: one Prime Grappler code.

Important Prize Info: The Prime Grappler code gives the winner an in-game item - the Prime Grappler Grappling Hook - which is only usable during the EQN Landmark Alpha phase. You must have an account with Sony Online Entertainment to be able to redeem the code, and you must be in EQN Landmark Alpha in order to use the item.

    You only have a right to be upset if it is the most uber Grapling hook in the game and the event is the only way you can get one of the same level.

     Yeah, something you can only use during alpha the article says, which will then be wiped is cause for a uproar.

    Don't know why people would be "upset" about these things.

    1. They will be wiped on or before March 31st anyway.

    2. You can make similar ones in the game, perhaps slightly less stats, but who cares.

    3. You can play Landmark perfectly fine without these hooks.

    And grappling hooks mean about zero in the game atm. Maybe when closed beta comes, when you won't be able to run up the side of a mountain, after the alpha. The wipe that's coming a little over a week from now, the one that wipes your hook. :p

     I haven't read the people are upset stuff, but most of the people are upset stuff, is people that are not playing, but hate SoE and Smedley.  I am surprised someone hasn't posted the code is a lie perpetrated by Smedley, and you will never get it, to use for alpha.
