Got into the beta, I ll get a better idea, even though I want to actually beta test the game, not take it as release state. I m sure I ll know more after this weekend though.
No doubt will get a better idea over the week end barring any major problems fingers crossed,But still liking what I hear about Wildstar so will prob wait and see how that is,can't afford 2 Mo's anymore even though Wildstar has optional ways to play other than a sub.
Besides will have paid alpha's/beta's coming out of my ears by then anyway so no rush if I go back to a subbed Mo,not doing a GW2 this time around in no real rush.
I do but I am almost 100% positive the game won't last past the included month unless Adventure Zones are exciting. Right now the game is just another pure linear Themepark with DAoC PvP. I want a Pure PvE sandbox with unending progression and exploration.
Sandbox means open world, non-linear gaming PERIOD!
Subscription Gaming, especially MMO gaming is a Cash grab bigger then the most P2W cash shop!
Bring Back Exploration and lengthy progression times. RPG's have always been about the Journey not the destination!!!

Thats an interesting take on it, and one I dont mind at all, a modern AAA pvp based at end game MMO, no progression in pvp and blobs ruined GW2 for me, so it will be interesting to see how this goes. It does come across as a MMO with an Elder Scrolls skin rather than an Elder Scrolls game, but looking forward to trying it.
I voted no based on what I experienced first-hand. I do hope the game does well, but I was left feeling like I had more freedom and character attachment in the single player games. I was fortunate enough to beta test the game with my best friend and we both mulled it over and kept coming up with the same impressions while testing. The game seemed pretty stable from a technical standpoint, but the soul of the game didn't feel like it was there and I had trouble feeling the multiplayer portion. Also we both could not see ourselves recommending it to our guildies so for now it is a pass.
! Finally a game that will be using a fairly realistic setting and not cartoonish. This game and Gloria Victis are two I am looking forward to. There is nothing wrong with WoW and Wildstar art style games, but I am ready for a change.
what? Guess you missed Age of Conan then. 1000 times better, looks kick ass on current Graphics cards and has 5 years worth of juicy content under its belt. Nothing comes close

I tried playing Conan for a while on 2 different rigs (both with stats that should have run it on high - max settings) and the game graphics, animations and combat were all glitchy to the point I just never made it past a month. The game engine they are using must not like my rigs.
Now ESO I play on max settings and it is beautiful and functions with little glitching. If they used this engine for Skyrim I would have been fine with it.
i take back my comment from last month or so i am going to Wildstar instead, eso get doesn't provide enough for its title its to in-between and wildstar beats it in way more aspect's than it beats wildstar.
I liked the pvp but it wont be enough to keep me long term so i will wait for atleast 6 months.

Originally posted by Vorthanion I'm so over the action based MMOs. I'll continue to play games like EQ, DAoC and FFXIV till another slow paced, virtual world oriented MMO comes out or get tired waiting and quit the hobby.
I will play, but not as the character I want to play. I feel that without the information of what is in the theives and assassins guild skill lines, I cannot choose which of the base classes to pick. What is the point of choosing nightblade if between those two guild, I can get skills that do pretty much what I would have chosen nightblade for.
So I will make a Nord DAoC thane and play that until I find out what I want to know.

I would also like that but I'm going to have to play something before 2024

I'm not sure I got 20 months of play out of GW2 for a $60 .....it saved the mmo genre for me @ least until TESO arrives in April
One million people disagreed with you after a month
I would also like that but I'm going to have to play something before 2024
This could end up being very interesting.
