This is useless if you can't even play the game if you live outside of korea.

Why even make an english patch?

"Thanks to some smart folks on Russian gaming forums, we have discovered the first publisher of ArcheAge outside of Asia might be Russia’s Mail.ru.

Recently Mail.ru put up a teaser website that is set to reveal a new game in 22 days or so. If you hover over the empty bubble labeled “2013″ it’ll show you some basic glyphs. These glyphs may very likely correspond to the basic Hangul characters that make up “ArcheAge” when shown in Korean promotional materials."

Read who is publishing the game in Russia mail.ru - they also publish Allods Online (which is a P2W game). This does not bode well for this game at all.

Allods in russia wasnt P2W. Gpotato ruined it for US when it first came out then fixed it after everyone left the russia server is still pretty good.

Interesting, that russia might get this way before EU/US.

If that's the case, then EU/US publishers aren't trying hard enough.

It will probably come out at the same time.

There is a publisher for EU and US too, it just havent been revealed yet, that was the reason that press beta keys for OBT werent given to anyone from the west.

looks like Mail.ru will be the publisher. Its just shows that asian MMO r more popular and more profitable in former USSR.

AionRussia just went F2P this december its more then 6 month after EU. Lineage 2 still popular. MMO market in Russia looks more promising for asian MMO. West just to picky.

It was a fan made patch that was used during the CBT's. Once AA launched in Korea, XL considered it a violation of the EULA and made it illegal. I'm not aware of it being used anymore.

But aren't you disappointed when RU has this earlier?

Hopefully there is a firm date, so people can start subscribing to Beta testing.  If the Beta can be start a month after RU server, that would be April.  Having another 2 months of testing, perhaps July will have better information on the actual release date.

    1. It is translating text not altering game crucial folders so considering their rape of Archeage KR they can have fun shoving their head further up their bell-ends, I found a good link for it so I am gonna be using it if at all possible.

    2. Unlike the Korean version the Russian one has no retard IP block in place because the russian publisher must have 3 functioning neurons between the lot of them and realize that more people playing a F2P game = more money in the end so the likelihood of them blocking EU and even NA IPs or even outlawing the english patches are not that likely though it won't stop XL from going apeshit trying to peddle their 1.0 shit on the western market.
