It's nice that Darkfall is number 25 on the MMO game list. I was surprised to see World of Warcraft being so low. With the population alone it should be in the top 10. Guess the chart actually does good games higher than crap like WoW (the biggest EQ clone there is).

according to the list guild wars 2 is best by far and free at that.

Guild Wars 2 is listed as Free on many lists cause your just buying the box & its free forever And most lists are only made into 2 groups P2P an F2P. the Buy 2 Play being listed as free.

GW2 is the new WoW. Darkfall is the new UO/Shadowbane.
Lower numbers show higher satisfaction with the game. If Darkfall was as bad as the trolls say it was it would be at the bottom of the list easy with that few numbers.

Never ever put Darkfall in the same sentence with UO and Shadowbane, those 2 games are far superior than Darkfall ever will be.

Sorry, but Shadowbane was incredibly broken, with awful controls and UI. It barely functioned at the best of times. Darkfall does not have this issue.
OP has no clue. DFUW better than UO!? Unreal not even close UO destroys everything DF has to offer. Im not a big fan but LoL is definately better than DFUW just for the sake of pvp balance and not horrible developers. Can't speak for shadowbane my grandpa played it for a bit but i was till actually totally involved with UO when shadowbane came out so i passed it by.

BUt its one of the only MMOs to grow post launch since 2004.
DarkFail ( v1 ) Released in 2009 sparky.
Darkfall is easily the best MMO on the market right now. Its got almost everything I want in an MMO.
1) Sub payment model-IMO this is still the best payment model.
2) Boats
3) Combat
4) Accountability-Because you only have one character you can make a name for yourself for good or bad.
5) Connection to character-Because you only get one
6) FFA
7) Full loot
8) Sieges
9) Non-instanced
10) Huge world
11) No tab target
12) Some pretty cool dungeons
13) Weather effects that affect gameplay
For me these are all reasons to love Darkfall. I understand for others some of these features are reason not to like Darkfall. Meh...to each their own.
its a shame darkfall does not exist any more.. i had some of the best times playing that game.

You do realise that from when darkfall was released the population just got smaller and smaller untill maybe it had a few 100 active players at the end..
DF:UW is doing exactly the same but faster.

of course not everyone plays via steam but it gives you a good idea.
Aventurine grew from a company of 12 to a company of almost 50, opened a second server, several expansions, ect ect. Also population grew for a while in UW.
they made most of their cash from military projects in Greece..
Opening a second server was a mistake, it split the population and made things worse.. i would not call any of those so called expansions anything other than some bug fixes and fun hulks :
Yeah UW did get a blip in population when released on steam.. but as you can see it did not last long. Also most of the vets from DF did not like the changes in UW and very few stuck around..

First, not according to OP. According to OP DF:UW is just the 25th choice you should consider, there are 24 better games.
Secondly, DF:UW must doing something HORRIBLY wrong offering so much but having a almost non existinat population.
Think its not a full MMORPG anymore and whats worse it doesnt have the potential to become a MMORPG anymore, as hint for a explanation..
