As if that has a big impact on the PvE population.

There are 3 medium populated EU servers, 11 high population and 13 very high population.

Piken Square that is a high population server is ranked #3 in WvW ahead of Very high population servers.

Ruins of Surmia, a medium population server is ahead of Underworld a very high pop server.

And both Ruins of Surmia and Arborstone (both medium) are ahead of Ring of Fire and Blacktide, both very high population.

Hint: accounts with 0 characters (you can delete them) can transfer for free.

You forgot to mention that Anet adjusted their server thresh holds a couple months ago in order to make the servers look more populated than they are. In fact, from what I read on the official forums, they have done that more than once this past year.

    Source?

Oh I know about that one, I just wasn't sure about the one where they adjusted server loads according to what they felt was needed to "show more population".

    Sorry, misread the quotes.

I'vent seen a source for what he typed.

There was a change from low-medium-high-full to low-medium-high-very high-full like end of 2012 beginning of 2013 but they also increased the caps around then.

My experience in GW2 is all from Desolation.

From what I see I would say the population in Desolation is now larger than last year around this time. Sure there has been the no culling patch and it is only one server but it is the server I know about.

It does effect population as lots of people like to play both. If those  who also PvP gravitate towards the high pop servers for PvP success, how doesn't it? It is common sense really.....

Then you can explain why very high pop servers are in the bottom of WvW ladder and why medium and high pop servers are above them.

Went back to play today on Crystal Dessert saw a total of 2 other people for 4 hours in Diessa Plateau. Was trying to finish the map. Had that lagging out near that blood legion place and died because I could not see what was attacking me and lagging while I attacked nothing.I thought these issues would have been solved by now.

The temple event cannot be done on my own. Sad really used to be teaming with people.

A very high pop server could be iin the bottom of the WvW ladder because a lower percentage of people fight in WvW on that server.  I play on Devona's Rest (US) and we're supposedly very high pop but we're in the bottom tier for WvW.

That contradicts a bit the theory that some servers are empty because everyone leaves to the very high pop servers that win WvW.

Jade Quarry, Sanctum of Rall, Tarnished Coast, and Black Gate are all very high and they are all the top servers. Sure there may be some exceptions, but it doesn't change the fact that lots of people leave low pop / losing servers and go to high pop WvW successful servers.

We were talking about the EU servers.

All the US servers are Very High population, so all the top servers and the bottom servers will be very high. :)
