Poll: Should ESO have the classic Speechcraft and npc Disposition system?

BookahBookah Member UncommonPosts: 260

The Speech Craft and npc disposition systems seem simple enough to implement and in return:

  • Make the world seem much more alive.
  • Make NPC's more interesting .
  • Provide a fun Speech craft mini game.
The question is does this classic Elder Scrolls system belong in the MMO?

I personally love these systems in Elder Scrolls games (I like My Rogues to be fast talking swindlers!) but cant find any information on the inclusion of these systems into ESO. I have wrote into "Ask us anything." so perhaps well see an answer soon.

ESO needs to have everything from the single player games on top of the mmo and social features. As soon as they start excluding pre-existing features they start shooting arrows to their own knees.

I say yes. If Vanguard can have diplomacy system that people like I don't see why there can't be a speechcraft system.

Maybe with different layers so that players who really want to delve into the system can and others, who don't really want to do to much with it can still get to some layer of cooperation.

I would also say that it can lend to a character's fame or infamy.

If someone is constantly threatening an npc to get what they want then they get a "reputation". that reputation opens up some npc's while closes down others.

    ^ This.

    It cannot be stressed enough.

Additional features like more NPC intelligence would just be a bonus.
