There's nothing more gratifying than playing an MMO for free.
Originally posted by gatheris you forgot Mortal Online you can be forgiven though as most have "coverage" of this aspect of the game has been slight as it is mostly male nudity - i assume
I remember getting the demo of Mortal Online and how the male char at creation showed the full montey, pubes n all.
And seriously.... when does adult games equate to nudity and why even wast space and time on a crap topic. Adult games to me at least are games that and very mature style of gaming where a 12 yr old simply cannot just pick up an play. Like EVE.
Originally posted by Krematory None of this games have an audience target other than furiously masturbating teenagers. EVE Online, on the other hand... that's an adult MMO.
When there's nothing to add - there's nothing to add.

I dont think adult games are those that show nudity and lots of blood. Maybe on paper but not in reality.
I consider EVE Online or the Secret World as the most adult MMORPG due to its rather mature setting and story-telling.
The top ONE on this list is adult only. The last four are there because you needed filler.
"Blade and Soul may not be out here in the states, and who knows how it’ll change before it gets here. But I’d wager that the fact you can make the women (and men I’d guess) completely nude with anatomic correctness will likely change."
Umm, you can't do this in any version at least not without a nude patch.
Raptr link because it's the cool new trend:

You're totally correct, this is despicable. These games should be completely banned from this site, and they should rename the site "www.mmorpg(exceptformmo'swithchickswithbigbewbsinthem).com"
It's really sad when "adult" refers to boobies.
How about Adult themes that are not based entirely upon nudity and sex.
I always felt that "Adult MMO's" would have been things like Red Light Center, Entropia Universe, Cybertown, Outerworlds, Meez, Sociolotron and so forth..
You received 25 Agrees. You're posting some good content. Great!

Camel Joe was a mascot. Nothing more.
The tobacco companies have done enough actual bad things to point out, there's no need to throw unfounded accusations at them too.
As far as MMOs go, I pretty much echo the sentiment already expressed here that nudity =/= adult. I'll also point out that this topic has been done to death not only on the forums here, but on other sites as well.
Guess it must be a slow news day.
It was "Joe Camel", not "Camel Joe".
Damn youngsters. Get off my interlawn.

Veteran MMORPG Player -
ROMEVERS (pre-EOC)- HabboCombat Arms - Crossfire -AVAMaplestory, and more.
Would hardly call this listing on mmorpg "Adult MMO's" and an incorrect title. Mature would have been a more suitable topic to use as it's the rating the games go by.
Let's look at the proper term of Adult from Merriam Dictionary:
"dealing in or with explicitly sexual material <adult bookstores> <adult movies>"
What is the definition of explicit?
"Showing or referring very openly to nudity, violence, or sexual activity"
Do any of these MMOs fit the definition of an actual “Adult MMO” The only game close to this is Scarlet Blade but even with the nudity it is only erotica and teaser. Not explicit sexual nudity or engaged with topics or environments that are very much adult in content. This is why these games are rated M and not AO. They lack the fundamentals to be true Adult MMO’s.
Game titles that fit the Adult category are these:
Saya no Uta
Skyrim Mod Communities<Growing and not strictly limited to America>
Adult Gaming Communities< tons and not strictly limited to America>
Adult games are adult because they do not hold back any content and treat their audience as adults. Majority of these games on this article’s list have either been censor in some way to remain as PG-13 as possible for the audience despite their M-ratings or have lost their adult meanings in the process.
I find the excuses for prudishness in gaming to be founded mostly by personal bias and rejection of reality. Books have sex-content in it. TV have sex content even more than the games at times. But even so there’s that white-knight stigma that endorsed itself in gaming in NA and has stuck like a sore thumb. The stigma of gaming being only for kids <which it not the case>, and must be for kids< again, which can be proven otherwise>. That video-game will either harm us, or eat our brains alive. That type of fear-mongering stigma is what is holding back the wider innovation of gaming and been proven times again. Then again, I wonder if every MMO website out there is not the very lease endorsed by a conservative mentality. Some companies are trying new things though like the AO development titles for Oculus Rift.
If one were to say they like pixel male in a game it would not matter, but if one were to say they like pixel tit, it is bad. This is mostly due currently to the political influences of certain feminist liberal groups who are pushing their own agendas into gaming for the $$$ interests. Playing a video-game makes no difference in terms of who is more self-righteous on the subject of sexuality and is more of a personal preference of the player. I believe eventually mainstream gaming will finally mature and break away from the social bias of silliness projected by those who are insecure at the concept of sex or sexuality in a game. Until then, non-main stream gaming will continue upholding the banner of sexual freedom and choice in gaming instead all the combined conservative nintendoified fail in the main-stream games.
As for Elin race. Officially there are uncensored outfits of the undies in the cash-shop now. There also was a recent event prize for players of an official uncensored elin model. It simply shows how inconsistent and hypocrite it was to censor the game in the first place as the game’s main entire purpose was meant to be an enjoyment for players, not the product result of a church gathering and nonsense fueled by social bias and the ill-informed.
Those who do not like Tera were never obligated to play Tera. If one is not open-minded to other cultures or art, are too traditional, or if swim-wear bottoms in a game are that frightening, then why play games that go against one's own personal judgment? Play something else that is more appealing should have been the option, not obligatory forced censoring that was never required on a game or even this one. Even if the concept of default underwear templates were considered questionable –which hilarious when actually thought about. Many, many MMO’s incorporate undies in their games under the armors or possibly even the standard on the armor.- the Lafalle from FF: Realm Reborn have also bottoms and belly-showing tops officially but were not censored for it. So one game was censored for bottom-wear, and another recent one was not. One game is actually PG-13 rated and not censored, while the other game is M-rated and censored. It’s Inconsistent and actually its pretty stupid. Tera is only mature in Korea and Japan while in North-America and Europe it’s ran for faint-of-heart and those who have mistaken the fictional elin race as illegality due to lack of stereotype female autonomy on the race - big breast, very endowed, very tall and very light-skinned, this is how all female autonomy is supposed to look like for video-games, supposedly-. Ironically I can say no such thing has happened to several titles released in America like the ones mentioned at the top that have more in means of content.
Appreciate this thread myself.
I enjoy playing as a slutty chick in fast paced action games whilst listening to some good tunes. Something mindless do play.
Never been introduced to Vindictus but it looks like something I can appreciate thx.
Scarlet Blade is originally based on Queens Blade the Anime which is made for women. it also explains why there are only women in the game but all "nakedness" invites men to play it
