Well played Mr. Murphy, trolling is so much fun. I started a thread titled "Adult Content - I'm not talking porn" so Bill just goes balls out calls this adult content and list the top 5 pornish mmorpg's lol this awesomeness.

The tobacco companies have done enough actual bad things to point out, there's no need to throw unfounded accusations at them too.
As far as MMOs go, I pretty much echo the sentiment already expressed here that nudity =/= adult. I'll also point out that this topic has been done to death not only on the forums here, but on other sites as well.
Age of Conan is the closest game on this list to what I consider "adult". I would like to see an "adult" game come out but not just sexually. While nudity and sex can have a place in a mature story, especially one in a dark setting like Howard's Hyperboria, it has to be tempered to not feel childish and immature. I would have preferred to see AoC focus more on racism, slavery, torture and the like to create that dark, mature setting but instead it seems they stuck with the "hehe bewbies" approach.
Blade & Soul is a very good game though, I've played it on the Korean client and once I somehow dealt away with the lag it was a very solid action MMO. And not only that, but the game's artistic design is gorgeous. World is beautiful but what makes it really gorgeous are the clothing designs and I cant wait to see the day when the game has finally gone through the necessary censorship to be released in the western markets. (/sarcasm off)
Unfortunately the solution to the lag was not a consistent one so I only ended up playing the game for a month.
Vindictus is actually one of the game that offers a lot of choice for both male and female on whether to wear revealing outfits. There are several armors per level, even on max level, and you can fuse it, so take the looks of something else. And actually the current end game gear is not overly revealing.
Just take a look. The guy does not really wear more than the girl in that one picture, and that is the most revealing end game armor available. And the others are totally enclosed, and do not even feature a real boobplate.
I'll wait to the day's end when the moon is high And then I'll rise with the tide with a lust for life, I'll Amass an army, and we'll harness a horde And then we'll limp across the land until we stand at the shore
I am sick of this 'realistic graphics become aged' crap! Its all a con that this site and others are paid to say because of the new wave of cartoon baby graphic games launching in the future.
I mean come on,this tard says naked people don't look the same as 3 years ago Hahahaha, what a joke.
TSW and EVE are not oversexed (except for the dragon opening storyline....) but they are def for older folks (because they're hard) and they blow any of the other games on this list away.
RIP Ribbitribbitt you are missed, kid.
Currently Playing EVE, ESO
Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and not clothed.

Except, using simple logic, you will see they do.
At any given time, an mmo can only render a human (for example) only "so" close the to original.
Look at Deus Ex. (yes I know not an mmo but a computer game)
This is not trying to make a stylized version of a human, it's trying to render a human as best as the technology can manage. could they have made it look better? Probably but would most machines be able to run it at that time? Probably not.
Now we look at the protagonist in Deus Ex Human revolution:
This is also not trying to make a stylistic version of a human. You can see the quality is much closer to an actual person. however, you would be able to pick this out as a "fake" if it were shown to you.
In 10 years they will be even closer to being able to render people in games. I says "in games" because we have all seen incredibly detailed and life like computer renditions of people that seem practically "real".
However, take Elmer fudd:
jump 10 years into the future and no one is going to say "wow he doesn't look real or looks like a bad rendering". That's because his art design is part of what defines him. One could apply 3d elements in order to flesh him out but that's going to make the character more three dimensional not "more real".
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."

Guess it must be a slow news day.
Uhh, this wasn't his opinion. There were laws enacted that prohibited that kind of marketing of tobacco products protect children over that mess.
Tbh I'd consider this more of the top 5 sexualized games rather than adult. Yes, these are not exactly suited for children's consumption and do fall into more of an adult category but to call them adult I feel like is... too broad of a categorization or oversimplification.
I think the only one on that list that I would even consider to coming close to being "adult" is Age of Conan but even that is a bit underwhelming. The intro was cringe worthy at how blatantly sexualized the situation was with the captured woman and it felt like that IS the only reason they did it, to sexualize it and be like "hey guys, hey look, we're for adults cause skimpy captured women!" It also didn't help that after you rescue her she seemed to be perfectly okay with having sex with you, at least it felt heavily implied that that is what was going on with her comments and tone.
Still waiting for a real adult MMO that isn't purely about boobs and butts and isn't complete garbage.
You must never have read a Conan book. They just made the game to fit the IP, which is part of the draw of it for Conan fans. And it's nut just nudity or sexual toned encounters, it's the violence as crit kill animations spurt blood on screen, cut heads and parts off, staggering in pain before dying. It's a gritty game based on a gritty character and world, so not really gratuitous.
anyways, there's not a real adult mmorpg or mmo tbh. nudity and gore arent the only thing to consider a game as adult. its like saying someone is already an adult because it drinks, smokes and has sex like an addict, and adulthood is more than that.
That's not why they are considered "adult" games.
They are considered "Adult" games because the material is not suitable to children. Probably in some respects, based on local laws.
One can say going to a strip club is disgusting and seedy and most adults would have the good sense to not patronize them (for example) but that is opinion.
Regardless of one's opinion of a strip club it is not considered for children.
but yet cigarettes , music and other "rated" products are marketed towards children..

Don't forget the good wholesome American violence and hatred that's completely acceptable and promoted via the media through stereotypes and other such things! But don't dare ever show a single nipple or cock tip for it might corrupt the children beyond all comprehension! Right.....Because killing each other is far more acceptable than natural wholesome love and sex?

For all the adult in these games they don't really mean much, I mean.....Can men get naked? Prolly not or the peanut gallery would freak out incredibly....And is there sex? Hard life decisions? Boring adult lives? Drinking? Alcoholism and other problems that seem to plague the adult population of some countries? Gambling? Smoking? Driving to work, repeating the same boring shit ad nauseum for 8 hours then going home and wishing you could put a bullet in your head....Prolly not :-/ The adult label seems so ridiculous, to me it just means "Oh my god! A nipple! Think of the children! Incomprehensible violence is alright, but not nipples and tips!"
Actually a lot of games are just like that-grinding the same boring things over and over for xp, gold or gear. Some even feel like a job.

It's true that in the 70's Cigarettes were marketed toward children and even earlier though the detrimental health effects weren't known in the 50's and probably not until the early 60's. Though cigarette smoke isn't great for anyone it's especially bad for children with developing lungs and therefore "especially" not appropriate for that age group. It is now supposedly not marketed toward children but I'm sure the "cool factor" is intriguing. Regardless, it's not for children no matter what and it's up to parents to talk with their children about smoking.
Music has been marketed toward "younger people" since the 50's. Not all music mind you but it did start with Rock & Roll" and that was considered "morally bankrupt for kids". So that hasn't really changed has it? There is nothing wrong with a music that speaks to a younger generation other than an older generation looking at the younger generation and shaking their heads because they just don't get it. Of course there are companies who want to get the dollars of "the younger generation" but that's the realm of parents and how they relate to their kids and how they teach them about money and values.
As far as "rated products" Adults enjoy them just as much as younger people are intrigued by them. Again the realm of the parents.
One could argue that no one particular movie or song is truly detrimental to a younger person but that is not the point of a ratings system. It's for parents to be able to sum up the product quickly so that they know what their children are watching or listening to.
So "regardless" these adult games are not being called "adult" because they are super deep or have themes that children won't understand. They are called "adult" because they are considered inappropriate for children regardless of whether the company would like children to buy them.
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."
I would say that the public chat on some of these games make other game more adult. There seems to be a difference between mature chat in games like Vindictus compared to SW:TOR. In TOR I have seen the four letter word used MORE in 4 weeks playing than any game to date so does that make TOR a mature adult game?
The ESRB needs to adjust their ratings according to the content of the players and not the content of the developers IMO.
lol it for "adults" because it have tits, tipically of muricans, scarlet blade a game for adults? what adult plays that game?, it fucking suck, im sure the age of players is between 14 and 16, who else would play that only for tits

That made me laugh out loud. One of those sudden laughs. What Gary Larson calls a "guffaw" (sorry, I love puns).
On topic, this list is pretty terrible. The thought to check my calendar and make sure it wasn't April 1st crossed my mind for a brief moment.
