[Interview] TERA: Rising: The Dungeon Assault Experience

Today, En Masse Entertainment unleashes the latest TERA Rising update, Dungeon Assault. The patch brings new features and dungeons into the game. We caught up with Patrick Sun to find out more about Dungeon Assault. See what he's got to say about what players will encounter before heading to the comments.

MMORPG: TERA has always held to having some of the best bosses in any MMO. Will the Dungeon Assault add to this experience for players?

Patrick Sun: Players will encounter brand new bosses with new game mechanics as they play through the collection of dungeons. Kezzel’s Gorge, as an example, features a forest giant hell bent on destroying a city as you deploy tower defense mechanics to take it down. Wonderholme is ruled by a maniacal caterpillar that uses a variety of confusion tactics to keep you a permanent guest at his castle. There are a lot of unique challenges players will face in Dungeon Assault that’ll mix it up from the ordinary raid formula to keep things interesting.

    The first thing he wrote stated En Masse Entertainment. That's pretty clear to me.

    This is just stupid, Tera EU sucks and who lives in Asia cant play in Tera US because they block all ips... you have a lot of people in asia that speaks english and dont speak chinese or korean or japanese.. they should unblock some ips...

    Should be in the EU next week sometime. Gameforge stated recently that they'll release content updates about a week after Enmasse because of the language translations, so not long now.

    Tera was a fun game BUT the community is so immature and self centered its impossible to play because the good content requires groups and its every kid for themselves because everyone wants the loot drops.  If they can't use it they wanna sell it for big cash so they can make a quick buck.  Greed, corruption, and immaturity owns that game so I will only play it if it gets hacked and there is a private serer made.  Wish those kids would go back to WoW or League of Legends and stop ruining a good game, so sick of the mindless crap being spammed in world chat 24/7 and any time you ask a question that's not clearly answered on the forums you get a whole name calling event and flame war that last 4 hours even if you don't say another word after the question you asked.  When I asked the question on the forums not only did it take 2 weeks to get a response the response was "who cares, go play another game if you can't figure it out noob"

    NOT a good game community.
