Now I have 2 accounts. WTF!

There was NO other option to hit but CREATE NEW SOMETHING OR ANOTHER ACCOUNT. So, thinking that it mean the account to actually play, I clicked yet. It was the only option available. Now I have 2 accounts. Fantastic.

 

 So where is the option for the credit card stuff to pay it? It has never showed up. Maybe it will at the end of the month?  Either way bugs are presenting itself again. This is for the PS3.

    I've a PS3 too, and had no such problem. Did you follow all the guidelines they gave you step by step?

    Yeah I did the same thing - should have read step by step. DOH! Anyway, I feel your pain. Really hoping I don't lose out on my 30 days free or anything. Here is the info on how to start the process of fixing the problem:

    did the exact same thing, after reading BETTER i saw the add windows key thing to current account, waiting on a ticket to be answered and till then i cant play incase i have to restart from scratch with the newly activated account :(

    No idea, they claim someone will answer within 48 hours of receiving the ticket. Now I am getting nervous. I found a reddit thread http://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comments/1kw3pm/ that basically says to try it, but one guy claims it's not possible.

    I am going to be crushed if thats the case... I have a 26 lancer/18pug that I played in the last beta and early access... if that time is wasted... ****. All cause they have a retarded serial code registration page. We will see... not sure man :(

    When i was registering it, I only saw that register service account or whatever, so I thought I was adding my CE "service" to this account, not adding another account. Ugh.

    well if u registered ur code under the wrong ACCOUNT then maybe but it says in that support ticket that you get a 1 time code reset or whtever no matter what, fked up thing is im waiting for that fking ticket to be answered otherwise all the time i put in the game might go to waste if they dont switch the code to the right account -.-

    I just got an email that said they will respond to it in no less than 48 hours. We will see and I will keep you  updated.

    Word is you will need to chat with them now that you have a ticket number, either via chat or phone:

    This is a huge mess. It appears many were only given the option to add a service account at first. After SE found this bug, they took down account page, redid it and reworded somethings. So far everyone who has this issue registered during EA. Bleh. No official response from SE on the matter though. I'm in chat queue now - 35, but also many are saying once they reach spot #1, they are auto disconnected. Such a mess...

    That is correct you will have to physically talk to them to get things straightened out don't call them until they contact you with your support # though because if you call they will simply tell you this how to do it and then hang up or something along those lines I didn't go through this personally but I saw people talking about this on the Lodestone forums.

     

    Last I heard the support had a 2-3hr hold.... so get comfy and watch some T.V. while on hold or something.

    I added my PS3 version to my PC account. All you had to do on the ps3, was click the bar on the side and scroll down, and the option of i already have an account is there.

    So can anyone explain the correct way to register ? Select add windows & then just eneter your code?
