In this weekly comic, artist Blaz Klaric brings us his irreverent look into the foibles of the MMO worlds we love, and love to hate. Check out today's entry, "Immersion".
So it doesn't matter what they do with the game as long as it's subscription based? What if you can choose neon colors right away, instead of having to buy them? After all, subscription based games should offer more choices, more freedom, unless they just line their pockets.
I'll wait to the day's end when the moon is high And then I'll rise with the tide with a lust for life, I'll Amass an army, and we'll harness a horde And then we'll limp across the land until we stand at the shore
I like how it got all dark and serious with the helpless woman with a baby. I was like "Whoa! Where's this headed?"
Neat comic.
There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein "Graphics are often supplied by Engines that (some) MMORPG's are built in" - Spuffyre
Konfess your cyns and some maybe forgiven Boy: Why can't I talk to Him? Mom: We don't talk to Priests. As if it could exist, without being payed for. F2P means you get what you paid for. Pay nothing, get nothing. Even telemarketers wouldn't think that. It costs money to play. Therefore P2W.

You know what is immersion breaking? When you cat jumps on the keyboard, that is immersion breaking. But when you are playing in an artificial world, nothing there should be immersion breaking. The player next to you has a pair of “Kinky Boots”, glitter, and neon hair? So what, that is the nature of the game.

Originally posted by uidCaustic I've always enjoyed how cash shops irritate poor people.
Ive always loved those people that think the poor are the ones complaining about cash shops.
Pure idiots.
Just because someone complains about a cash shop doesn't mean they are poor. 90% of the time its lack of credible content, cheesy content,,, or just plain Greed ... case in point a Transmog helm from the Blizzard store costs 15 bucks.. has no stats and honestly doesn't even look kewl... ah well i know a few idiots who bought it.... sigh....
!5 bucks for a digital item.. thats a month subscription to the game... screams greed on an epic scale. again no stats, nothing special about it.. other than you can transmog it.. for those not familiar it means you can make any helm you can wear look like it.
Its crap like this that causes players to sit back and say WTF. Corporate Greed has destroyed the F2P genre.. sure when it started games like Eden Eternal and others had vanity items you could get for a few bucks.. they were cute little items. However as tie progressed the Corporations (EA, Activision, and others) decided hell why not rob the players blind?
Hell even World of Tanks has a rip off report level cash shop.. some of their tanks sell for nearly what it costs to have premium for a year and thats 99 bucks for double xp... whoopdee fraggin doo. Piracy at its finest and the fools keep coming.
Its idiot players that support the over priced cash shops that encourage these corporate butt chewers to keep creating cheesy Cash shop games.
Then theres the P2W or Pay to Win cash shop games.. those are gimmick games that suffer low player bases and short life spans due to thier nature. They cant build up huge populations like WoW or Everquest. They struggle at best with even half that population due to the imbalance the cash shop P2W environment creates.

You forgot 20$ glitter ponys and unicorns.
The comic is more of a real life documentary, than a comic
