Anyone else get 8k+ score in highest graphics setting with the official bench mark ( character creation )

Im running GTX580 x 2   .    Not sure if nvida has optimised cards for this game yet  , probably not .

I haven't played the beta yet, but I have doubts about how accurate this benchmark is... I got around 9000 on my 2500k / GTX 670 and around 8500 on 2600k / 560ti. My friend also got over 11k on a 570.

Rolling in at 7900 on my two 5770's and phenom II at 3.8ghz on 1080p at maximum, the engine is pretty good, but drivers seem to play a big part in scores right now.  AMD hasn't even released official drivers for FFXIV  yet,  but it does support sli.

if you force the benchmark to use the SWTOR profile in CCC, Crossfire will work

has to support it. I have a single GTX560 and I dont think I break 4000 at default max.

Not that benchmark scores really mean much...

but if you're trying to GET HIGH SCORES BROOO go with the nvidia 314.22 drivers from march. They're still the best drivers for ffxiv and will increase your bench score by hundreds (700 for me)

    Anyway...

    i7-930 OC'd 3.6ghz

    ASUS 660 TI

    => 9494 score 1920x1080 max.

Oh and the game isn't optimized yet for SLI so yeah.

Getting almost 14k with two 660s non ti and an i7 3820 at 4.3ghz

I used to score around 7k before I popped in the second 660

I was playing around with my system: i7 920 2.66Ghz and AMD 6970.

With the Maximum graphics setting, and 1080p Full Screen, at stock clocks I get 7428.
OC the CPU to 3.00, GPU at stock and it goes to 7570
OC the CPU to 3.40, GPU at stock and it goes to 7684
OC the CPU to 4.00, GPU at stock and it goes to 7604 (no typo)

So ok, a bit of errata there near the end (could be memory timing or the fact that I didn't run multiple runs to get averages or something) - but it appears somewhere before 3.4Ghz I am GPU bound.

So I started playing around with GPU overclock. My 6970 has a stock clock of 880 GPU, 1375 Memory.

CPU at stock, GPU at 950/1450 and it goes to 7865
CPU at stock, GPU at 960/1375 and it goes to 7822
CPU at stock, GPU at 975/1425 and it goes to 7920
CPU at stock, GPU at 985/1450 and it goes to 8002

    Some additional data points
CPU at 3.40, GPU at 915/1415 and it goes to 7828
CPU at 3.40, GPU at 950/1450 and it goes to 8040
CPU at 4.00, GPU at 950/1450 and it goes to 8035

So the new game engine seems to be extremely GPU sensitive - but that could very well be a driver issue as well (currently running Catalyst 13.4, which is the latest WHQL certified driver). The fact that I was able to get it to break 8000 on a 2008-issued CPU at stock speeds was a bit surprising, but the engine is designed to run on the PS3 as well, so I'm not all that shocked.

Watching some parameters; VRAM usage never exceeded 900MB (899 was the max I saw, reported by MSI Afterburner)
With CPU parking set to 1%, the game commonly tried to spread across all 8 cores (loaded to ~20% each). Occasionally 1 pair would park, and during loading 2 pairs may (but not always) park.
Disabling HT and making the CPU a strict 4-core had no measurable effect on scores, but the CPU load did jump up to around ~60% per core. I haven't tried any core counts less than 4 yet.

Interesting data in this thread, especially considering this is an AMD Gaming Evolved title, and nVidia cards are crushing it so far (maybe it has something to do with the fact that the PS3 has an nV GPU?)

Actually SLI support is officially in now btw. That's only reason I bought the second 660.
