     Well yeah, when the government collapses, or the apocalypse comes, are you going to call your broker and then ask for the withdraw to use it as a barter item in the new savage world, doubt anyone answers the phone.

     

    Guns and ammo probably make more sense, but some people think since gold had high value in less advanced times, it will hold true if everything collapses, and it will help them get through for the rebuild or whatever comes next.

     

    I can see the merit in being prepared, but percentage wise, its to low for me to bother with personally.
