I can't tell if this is totally mundane or completely awesome

Ever try out a game and you're just overwhelmed by the stuff all over your screen. There's stuff to click, and you're not sure what anything does, but it all looks cool? That's half of my experience with World Alpha. The other half is walking through the initial steps, doing rote tasks, without any real understanding as to how this gets me on the path to world domination because it is a laundry list of ordinary, routine tasks.
It's obvious the team has put a ton of work into this game, so I can't imagine that they just wrote up a bunch of crazy bullsh!t on the website to lure people in, so I'm going to go with the more likely scenario that I just don't 'get it' yet.
Has anyone else played this? If so, what are your thoughts on it?
There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein

I kid! Hey, thanks for the links, WA. Going to read up some more tomorrow and see what kind of trouble I can get my character into.
