Square Enix has released a pair of new videos to show off Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. One of the videos is a walkthrough of Eorzea and the last details the Duty Finder. Both of the movies live on the official Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn YouTube channel for your viewing pleasure.

    The only real connection between all the Fabula Nova Crystallis mythos stuff is the idea of crystals being in some way important in the lore.

    Definitely feels like an older FF game in style being more medieval high fantasy. The disconnect might come from those games not having been fully realized with modern graphics. I dig it though

    Great visuals, a bit on the stale side sometimes due to the imitated realsim but of course visuals don't make core and map gameplay which this game lacks.

    Which is a good thing to me.  FF just doesn't feel right based in a modern setting.

    Erm, VII did have a modern setting and several FF games post-VII did not.

    Btw, this game does have elements reminiscent of post-VII games, particularly XI and XII (games that did not have 'modern' settings).

    I wonder..... Let's say I buy it on PS3 and then get a PS4. If I buy the game over again, would I be able to transfer my characters linked to the PS3 account? Awe! Who am I kidding. I'll just get it on PC. lol.
